This. Shapeshifting dragons are SHIT. Shapeshifting is LITERALLY the eternal copout mechanism when it comes to almost anything dragon related.
Want to fuck or romance a dragon as a smaller race? shapeshift so it's easier for you, and more acceptable because they no longer look like a dragon.
Want to kill off a dragon easily? Shapeshift and have them be killed by something that wouldn't have killed them as a dragon.
Want to have a dragon in your show/comic/game but don't want to account for their physical form or appearance? Shapeshift so you can treat them as just a smarter/stronger humanoid.
What is the god damn point? You're just diluting them down until they might as well be substituted by something else that actually fits what you're looking for, since it clearly isn't a dragon at that point.
