I really liked XIII. I can admit the linearity and forever tutorial sucked, but loved Fang and Vanille, wish there was a prequel for them. Also liked the world, you could see the lies coming from the falcie about Pulse, and see the propaganda machine taking hold on cocoon, if you spoke to the people and spent time with some lore. The whole thing was about the elite keeping the commoners ignorant and scared, to keep their control.

There was a beautiful scenery or building and there had to be something (or two) with extremely low quality (like a wall or rocks).

I’ve never met a fanbase more inconsistent than FF fans. Honestly, Evey FF fan has wildly different opinions on which games in the series are the best and which are the worst. In games like Dragon Quest and Zelda, you can usually see where most fans stand on which is their favorite and why. Not FF fags though.
