Well after playing, my thoughts that nobody will care about.

>Combat
Feels really awkward and not that fluid, dodges and parries don't really flow together with attacks, so you have to be prepared to dodge/parry instead of just being able to fluidly move from attacking to dodging. Makes things feel really stiff.
Also, hit boxes need to be fixed.

>Multiplayer
Pretty bad. The net connections are really bad and you really get screwed over when you try to help someone, just not that fun.

>Difficulty
5/10, its not super easy, but its far from difficult.

>Variation
Biggest annoyance to me, for an RPG type game, the stats are tied to your class. Not really much you can do with variety here and the weapons are tied to what class you are as well essentially.
Plus, you can't play dress up that well.
The main issue though imo is with weapon choices and gifts. It kind of implies you'll be able to play a ranged class, but there really isn't an option. You have a gun, and you're supposed to hit things with it. You get magic, but you're supposed to hit things to be able to use it. Its not a big deal but it does reduce variety which is a bit sad.

>Bosses
Half of them were double bosses which is always a pet peeve of mine. I had fun with the Queen's Knight and the Blade Bearer (also the two easiest bosses sadly, I beat both of them first run) but the other two bosses felt like a cluster fuck. Hopefully they ease up on it.

Finished the content and the boss at the end of the map stage, are there no ways to get more presents to give people? I can't even do multiplayer I've found maybe 1 person that was searching and the rest of the time it fails. I'd like a new greatsword but all I ever found was a zweihander despite getting enemy drops of swords/guns/halberds.

Hair looks a tad too saturated to me but it might just be me. Eyes and face are pretty much there though.

Does huge damage and recovers fast enough that she can't punish you.
Don't do regular attacks they drain too much stamina and then you can't dodge her 3 hitter.

this game feels jank at times. melee seems like a waste of time compared to magic by a large margin. the only way i can describe it is that it feels like god eater cosplaying as a souls game.

I'll give credit when it's due - this game is a bit better than I expected. Blood Codes are actually a pretty fun idea. Character creation is the main attraction here but even it is kind of uneven. The amount of options in incredible but the fact you cannot model your face at all (outside of picking a preset) is weird in this day and age. And with no beards you're stuck as being a goth bishounen. Not like it matters because everyone's gonna do their big titty waifus so I can forgive that.

That said, the biggest problem is that the fight is clunky and all over the place in terms of speed and impact. You can zip-zoom all around the fucking place but your healing animations is pre-World Monster Hunter levels of slow compared to what's going on, but I guess that explains the partner system. But worst of all is that most hits have no impact at all so you feel like your animu edgelord is swining styrofoam.

I'll just wait for The Surge 2.

Does anyone know if there'll be more clothes options in the main game? I like what's there, but I want more.

Using the bayonet was an exercise in frustration. Even with full upgrades it did piss-poor damage and the bullets spend precious Ichor, have limited range and feel like you might as well be shooting spitballs.

From the little I've tried of the greatswords, it's a little better but the animations are so slow you'll just eat shit on most bosses if they don't stagger.

The zweihander is the only GS I ever got and it is ok but really bland looking. I wanted to get one of the ones the enemies carry but they never dropped them. I've gotten a ton of the other weps like bayonet, sword, and poleaxe things from them.

I feel like I should be able to parry the boss with the ice/fire attacks but I never could. I've never had luck parrying greatsword/hammer mobs either like the giant guys.

You find the Queen Greatsword, or whatever it's called, in the starting mine area. There's some crates blocking a ledge you drop down to.

I'm guessing it is worse than zweihander? Also what do the stat scaling on the outfits do? They don't seem to affect my weapon damage at all.

People have said that it depends on the drain style you have.
I mostly used the default claw style and attacking at around the red areas usually got me a backstab.

They do affect damage, if you look on the weapon stats theres a 'scale' damage number under 'base's. Mostly they affect what skills you can equip and their effectiveness though.
Example, you need B in strength to use Attack Up, B in willpower to use Blood Shot.
More willpower increases dark damage, stuff like that.

queenslayer does a little less damage than zwei and has a way different moveset
it doesn't have a super death poke though

It has worse attack and block rate but most of the Queen swings are very wide sweeps and it swings faster + is lighter so can get better dodges with some blood codes.

And the outfits are mostly for the drain attack + gifts

I literally put on a piece of armor that has ZERO strength scale and one that had like B and both did the same damage with my greatsword, 649 when attacking the training dummy.

The men are so much better than the women.

armor doesn't affect scaling, only blood codes do

It's a shame that the only good hairstyle for the guys is the default one, the rest look like shit on a masculine build.

Context is everything. I see people get confused over this shit all the time due to terminology differences.

Like how the concept art for Liar Princess says "Do not make her a moe character" when explaining her hair tufts are meant to reference here werewolf origins. Some interpreted that as the designer wanting her to not be moe, when what he meant was don't animate the hair tufts in a way that implies she has direct control over them or they reflect her emotions too much (which is common a "moe trait" like cat ears).

Gifts and specials are super useful because they utilize ichor instead of stamina and deal big boy damage if used properly

Teleport is godly for follow-ups if your range is lacking. Sometimes you basically cancel attack recovery, zip zam zoom a few feet towards the enemy and keep the combo going. Goes really well with status effects.

I agree. I think the smallest change they could make that would have the biggest impact is decrease animation lock times just enough to let you dodge attacks that you should be able to dodge.

The skills, attributes and hp values yeah. Stat spread is likely negligible since, outside of I think one axe, we don't get anything with an A rank in strength and most weapons have dual stat scaling and the veils can help mitigate that. Aset is like ranger+Caster combined. Caster in the skills but ranger in the attributes with the would-be strength and hp put toward magic

Check it out, the map is pretty small with 3 paths and bosses on the end of each, after you're beat 3 bosses you gain access to two phase boss. Its mostly for gathering materials for weapons/armor upgrade, testing coop and blood codes, because you're getting much more blood haze or whatever its called, souls experience.

The game is designed around co-op, players and ai can sacrifice health to heal and if done right when someone dies revive them as well.
Enemies can be staggered to death if everyone focuses them when usually the enemy would give you trouble since they're fast as fuck(Milk bearer and the skinny female enemies.

I care, sounds mediocre which is more or less what I expected. Shame, the game was in the oven for too long and it over cooked.
