The network was so good people used it as a replacement for real life, becoming isolated from the real world, time falling away like nothing. Sam's job is the bridge all these connections and reunite humanity, but its a planned doomed to failure. The ending is about destroying the network and destroying bridges and setting humanity free

A hivemind of monsters that appears in rain and drags humans into their world, the upside down realm where Cliff and his skeleton army is stranded. Cliff was once part of Bridges organization and one of the creator of Bridge Babies that are unborn and preserved because of their abillity to see Beached Things. Something went wrong and he got stuck in the Hades dimension. Fragile is working for another company and tries to help Sam on his quest that was given to him by the president before dying. Higgs is a terrorist leading organization Homo Demens and their goal is basically the opposite of Sams, to keep cities separate. There is obviously alot more going on with the themes of internet, connections, life and death but It would be too long to write it everything.

You play as Norman Reedus as a super-postman trying to reconnect the fractured USA (now UCA, 'United Cities of America') after a supernatural apocalypse where the afterlife invaded the living world. The afterlife seems to include multiple different planes or some kind of manifest-psychic-gestalt thing, but whatever the case the primary plane of note is a world of constant warfare inspired by historic 20th century conflicts (seen so far are WWI, WWII, and Vietnam War elements, all with significant spooky flourishes like skeleton soldiers and tanks being living things packed full of meaty intestine tentacles). The ghosts, called 'beached things' when on Earth, are hostile and seem to want to drag the living to their hell world. When they do so it causes a massive explosion (like a nuke). Some people have a condition called 'DOOMS' which allows them to sense or see the ghosts, but otherwise people can use 'bridge babies' to do so (special babies which are 'between worlds'). The major powers in the world have secret transhumanist objectives which will probably factor into the later part of the games plot (bridge babies are actually 'Homo Ludens', 'Playful Man', the main organizations vision for the posthuman successor species, and the primary antagonist group is called 'Homo Demens', 'Demented Man').

story wise i have no comment. i mean time travel is simply in a sense that. its very fast, very poerful, extremely vilotile, and not impossible but you dont need a baby machine to make it happen.

a fetus is used in the real world for its stem cells.
in the film timecop. two of the same carbon copies can not occupy the saem space. so your future self and past self can not shake hands, hug, fuck, kiss, etc etc.
in terminator a machine is used to time travel alone. the battery to power a terminator is enough to nuke a small town.
in the movie timemachine humanity shares the same dream. a giant mechanical machine.

I dunno man, kojima is as subtle as an elephant in a glassware shop, and the trailer laid it out clear as day, what's so hard to get? Even the general theme is literally being spelled out by the Amelie character at the end of the trailer. Higher ups not getting it was just a marketing stunt and people are lapping it up like the idiots they are.

Why Kojimbo manage to use a face scan technology without the characters feels so jarring in game? I mean compared to Remake2 and DMC5, which use a realistic style but the characters face looks so weird

first season is an absolute must-watch, stellar acting from both Hugh Dancy and Mads, amazing atmosphere and story. couldn't take my eyes off the screen.
second season watchable but pales in comparison to the first
third was....well it started off very fucking low but caught itself to deliver one of the most amazing endings ever, you will know what homolust is when you fucking see it. honestly, the third started off so badly i actually couldn't really recommend if it wasn't for peak of this show ending m8. just chew through it

Earth is affected by a catastrophic phenomenon called the "Death Stranding". This phenomenon has split America and cities have barricaded themselves and shut themselves off. The government has turned into the UCA (united cities of america) and the UCA has a branch called BRIDGES, which purpose is to bridge the gap between the cities of America and unite the country once again. The protagonist is working for BRIDGES and his purpose (and yours as the player) is to unite America while navigating through the world. The Death Stranding is still somewhat of a mystery to us, however seemingly what has happened is that it has connected our world to an "underworld" and the beings in this underworld are 'Stranding' on our world (BT's = Beached Things on the official site). These beings are invisible, though can still interact with our world and manifest through a black oil-like liquid ("Covering the world in Cable...", might be a connection??)
Other people and organizations in this world knows how to interact with this other world and seeks to stop you.
