My PC is average but not average enough to run xcom 2 sadly. Could you guys recommend any strategy games meant for poor people?
My PC is average but not average enough to run xcom 2 sadly...
>average but not average enough to run xcom 2 sadly
Average for what? Fucking Africa? Xcom 2 is not demanding at all.
Try Pathway, it's XCOM + FTL in a desert.
Xcom2 with mods user
Expeditions: conquistador / viking.
I played it. The game is pretty meh in my opinion.few bugs here and there, but still a meh game. Will still play though.
Into the Breach
>Could you guys recommend any strategy games meant for poor people?
x-com
Was the game in OP's pic any good? I saw tons of bad reviews about it.
Field of Glory 2
Despite some typos in dialogue and some RNG hell instances, the game is pretty solid. Some bosses are easy other bosses are a worthy challenge and then there are the few bosses you just need to say no to. Overall,I highly recommend, plus it's 3rd new DLC just came out just last month so it's a great time to get into it.
Original XCOM games, they are miles better than the new ones.
Heroes of Might and Magic III.
Age of Empires and Mithology
Warcraft III
I really dug it, it's a really interesting take on a medieval mercenary sim. Can be pretty fucking hard though, if you don't read meticulous guides and lowkey minmax.
I'd give it a recommendation though, at least for an hour so you can still refund it if you don't like it.
I just downloaded it last night. Will play asap. Thanks a bunch user.
Myth 1 and 2
just get more money? I don't see the problem here
Hmm.ok.interesting. few responses.
1.how does this series compare to the old xcom
2. I actually do have HOM&M III on my PC, I just don't know how to get into it properly. The UI is weird and I didn't find the damn tutorial because of how retarded I am.
3.whatre your thoughts on the disciples trilogy? Is it worth getting into?
Jagged Alliance 2
play the campaign in homm it should get you up to speed as for UI just hover over shit and read it's not that hard
You see user, i live in a shithole user.money could easily be used for something more productive.like toilet paper or electricity. I'm not some ancap that's waiting for Bitcoin market to go bullish. I'm a wagecuck that can barely manage. I can't just "get money". I don't have such a luxury.
The main complaints I saw were that it didn't have enough updates/the devs promised stuff that they didn't deliver on.
>Xenonauts 2
What's the difference between it and the first game? How much are they changing/improving that a second game is warranted instead of an expansion for the first one? Is it at least still going to be set during the cold war era?
Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13
Turn based tactical combat. Guns galore. Customization galore. Explosives. Mortars. Backpacks. Armor. It's a rabbit hole.
Apparently they are just refining most of the mechanics, but they are also removing vehicles which I do not like.
Well I didn't follow it during it's development, but having played the final game before they added DLC, it felt like a completed package.
1.13 was a mistake
Well I didn't follow into it's supposed promises to it's fanbase, but the fact that theyre still adding more content could act as a genuine means to stick around or just wait till they procure the fanbase's demands. It has decent score on it's reviews right now but it really depends if you're interested or not.
What's wrong with it?
Should I play the first one?
too bloated, have to spend hours changing the shitty stock settings and most engagements involve herding a line of enemies through chokepoints and gunning them down
Battle brothers is great* It's basically a medieval sandbox where you take a shitty company of 3 dudes and grow it to actually good mercenary company.
*I haven't played the dlc so I can't comment on those.
Tried xcom 2 its fucking trash dawg they game just rushes you non stop or you lose because some timer expires. Oh also you never have enough resources so you can just be underpowered for missions and have literally no alternative.
Miss me with that gay shit dawg.
The Banner Saga trilogy and Telepath Tactics
>Original XCOM games, they are miles better than the new ones.
They really aren't. nuCom is just so much more polished and enjoyable.
Xcom files on OXCE+ is the best xcom exoerience you can have
what is the easiest to learn strategy game to get in to? 27 yo boomer here who never played tany strat game but getting interested in it now
there's more than one kind but heroes of might and magic 3 is babby's first TBS
Definitely xcom
Starcraft for RTS
based Banner Saga bro, love those games
Art style, concept and gameplay are just to good pass up,of I'll play it. Plus it's a trilogy so what's not to like?
maybe you should focus on getting out of poverty instead of spending money you clearly cant afford to lose?
>poor people are lazy is a meme!
no it isnt.. every single time they just want stuff they cant afford without the work
Play Mechcommander
this game was so ahead of its time theres nothing as good even now
video games are a luxury not a need therefore more important things take priority
Yh cause that money is small, plus refunds exist my dude. If it were so easy,I'd either have i7 processor or be basic console fag by now don't you think?
Ugh. whateves. Forgive me for being a lower working class cuck that doesn't know how to spend his money.
The game was shit
Nah it's good, i'm just bullshitting, but they could've better explained the repair mechanic
>Wasteland 2
>strategy game
It's not?
I think a lot of us *thought* it was shit, since we were about 8 when we first played it, I tried again when I was a bit older and pretty much played it solidly for five years.
Aw hell, who am I kidding, I'm downloading it right now.
HOMM
This is Hunter. Spare parts for everyone!
Silent Storm
Medieval 2 total war
It's an RPG obviously
Armored Brigade
Close Combat series
Company of Heroes
Men of War
Medieval 2 Total War (Fantastic modding community, Warhammer mod is my favorite)
HoMM3
Master of Orion 2 & Master of Magic if you want really low end but still great
Men of War 2
Alpha Centauri
Shogun 2 Totaru Waru
Jagged Alliance 2 1.13
Just some of the top of my head. You really need to be more specific with how low end you want so I suggested a mix of everything. Also plenty of great suggestions in the thread. +1 for the Silent Storm guy.
