I'll start by saying robot alchemic drive or R.A.D
For those who don't know it's a Japanese made giant robot versus aliens game. It came out for a western release but within a month all copies where gone off the shelves. Not sure what happened but because of it many people don't know about this awesome game. Story isn't the greatest but giant mecha versus alien battles? Hell yeah!
Yes it's reddit, it's a good source so fuck off faggots. You can find whatever you want here for emulators all virus free.
Noah Perry
I'll check it out. Anything special about it?
Jaxson Brooks
>Multiple endings galore >open ended story and gameplay >tons of tank customizing options to dig your teeth into it's pretty more a parody of the Mad Max style world and Final Fantasy/Dragon Quest style RPG's with a lot of interesting design choices. youtube.com/watch?v=6oMmo2XFW4Y >Tanks have HP, but they aren't 'dead' when that hits zero, instead it lowers the chance of parts breaking when taking damage. If too many critical parts are broken, the tanks are disabled till fixed.
Leo Thomas
based sounds like my kind of game. Ever heard of radiata stories? I would check that out if I where you. Lots of story options and plenty of characters and events you can miss out on. You can only do so much with each playthrough basically but it's fucking amazing too.

The ps2vanias are often overlooked but they have solid gameplay for dmc likes
Liam Flores
ps2vanias? You're talking about castlevania right? I was debating trying some of those. I'll give the a second look. Any suggestion on which one to start with?
I appreciate the link but this one only has the regular dub which wouldn't be too hard to find normally. I'm not sure where I could find the undub version specifically
Well, of course. Asking because this looks like the kind of thing that would only be fun with another person.
Zachary Brooks
shit, was hoping that source would have it. I'll see if I can dig up something before the thread 404's
Matthew Watson
yeah, personally I would recommend starting with lament since curse many consider an upgrade from that one, but lament is good as a 3d recreation of classicvanias and it's story is delightfully cheesy. CoD is alot like a 3d metroidvania that still has those ps2 era cheese but Lament always stuck with me more
I don't think they really exist anymore in the age of internet. Lifeline is cool, but basically just remembered for the voice commands nonsense. Disaster Report for being a very interesting survival game set in a city that just hot hit by an earthquake. Dororo: Blood Will Tell as a pretty archetypal action adventure featuring "collect your body parts" as a progression gimmick. Probably more I can't remember.
You should be able to pull some weight with emulation then. I don't know how to do it exactly myself but the offical forums of the psx2 would be the place to find out the specifics.

>ryzen
You'll make it work, but Ryzen is shit for emulation in general. It's one reason someone may actually want to pick up an Intel instead.
Blake Ross
Cool, didn't know there was a Dororo game for PS2.
Nolan Martin
almost rented this at blockbuster once. Is it completely turn based?
Lincoln Taylor
Chain Dive moonland only side scrolling spiderman (with 5+ minute cutscenes)
wish I knew how to play it properly now that I have the internet but maybe theere's some youtube videos
Jaxon Rivera
Thanks user ill check it out
Adam Edwards
I hope zen 2 has the raw power to get decent single-core performance for emulation (it's been said they can do 5ghz single core boost) My 1600 is still good for essentially everything I need but I might upgrade if the 3600x is as good as it sounds
>Game forces you to fight bosses without your tanks like the two gangs that try to rob the train I felt so exposed and weak.
Dominic Nelson
>that one mission they paid you a lot of money to protect a supermarket that was putting your childhood friend’s store out of business You bet I went to the supermarket and punched it until it was destroyed.
Connor Powell
>not playing the glorious dub
Ryder Foster
I'm sure it's a good time but since the game seems to actually be quality I'd rather first play the undub
It does that a few times rather, each other reminding you to gear up on protectors and making good use of the melee/ranged weapons as well. Heck in some cases on foot's a bit stronger then tanks, but once you get to the point where you can mount like 4 main guns and 4 sub guns very little beats your tank options. youtube.com/watch?v=XBWWHpGP68c
since this is a ps2 thread i might as well ask. can i get some recommendations for ps2 games? im looking to grab silent hill 2 next but im not sure what i should get after that.
Thomas Parker
I remember my first playthrough of the game when I was shit. Would keep accidently destroying whereever nanao worked. Either I would step on the bitch by accident, send an enemy flying into her shit. She was in ruined and I fucking hated myself for it.
I played the fuck out of this series, even modded my PS2 just to play AEUG vs. Titans when it came out in Japan and wasn't localized for NA. I'd say they were the best Gundam games of all time but I honestly haven't played any Gundam games in a decade or more so I dunno of something better has come out since.
Blake Bennett
gundam battles in space is a good one with lots of content
Cameron Diaz
So this Vol. 2 is actually fun? I checked out gameplays of the first, and it seems very mediocre.
