I'm starting to think the whole anti-white male campaign in the entertainment industry in general but MOST NOTABLY the video game industry is some wacky reverse psychology tactic to deliberately increase the novelty of the white main character as the default by drawing more attention to it now than ever.

2. Artistically this has been an absolute disaster. The idea was that someone said "hey there are a lot of white male protagonists maybe some variety would be good." I am American-Irish. My grandfather was a black man. My grandmother is white, but not for her time; the Irish have only been considered "white" in the states since Kennedy and Britain post Troubles. I believe, perhaps wrongly, that this gives me a unique position and outlook on the issue. And personally I feel that there in fact is a strong push to exclude the straight white male protaganist from fiction. I honestly don't know why. I suspect it's a psy-op though who's pulling the strings I can only guess. Regardless, the fact that writers, producers and developers wear their hatred on their sleeves is odd, if not genuinely wrong. Rarely does a character's race/sexuality/etc. make them entertaining. Blade is my favourite Marvel character, the fact he's black doesn't and shouldn't matter to me or anyone
