years ago, on a whim, it was because of a comment like this that i bought the game.
do not be fooled.
i, maybe like you, felt a lack of "good" JRPGs. i wanted to play a "good" one.

this game is derivative, shovelware trash.
be aware that those who enjoy this game are extreme plebians, perhaps even moreso than neptunia fags, because you don't see neptunia fags go around claiming their game is "good". they like shit, they know they like shit, and they're OK with it. fine.
but this game, this is not a good game, and the amount of people i see call this game a good game is disturbing. it's not. please. save yourself. don't do it. it's not worth the disappointment.

I played the previous Trails games and they are way better than Cold Steel and I do think they are worth the time. Cold Steel is just too generic and the cast is bare basic while also taking 10 steps back in the evolution of the gameplay mechanics in the series.

Considering that Cold Steel retroactively ruined the "worldbuilding" and writing that previous games had built up painstakingly and that fans put Trails on a pedestal for, that's probably not such a good idea anymore.

The only good thing about Alisa is the fact that her titties keep growing bigger with every game she appears in. I wish the same could be said about Emma and Laura, but at least Emma develops a nice butt.

Cold Steel arc is over so I suggest waiting until the next game and if that is shit then there is no hope. Crossbell and Liberl arcs are some of the best stories and worldbuilding in gaming.
