I grew up with it as well user and I didn't say it had no horror, I said it was presented as action horror. It has plenty of fucked up moments or shit like your pic but the game was also firmly an action one as well, you see the big bad, enjoy the body horror, then unload the ass end of a train into it followed by a fireball.

No it means the game starts off with a large wreck, huge fires, and running through a street filled with zombies all in the first 5 mins followed by spending the rest of the game unloading various weapons like shotguns and grenade launchers into enemies because ammo never runs out.

The scenarios were half baked, a lot of continuity errors (Annette, G Sample, etc)
Scenario B was abysmal, it's almost as if they didn't even try.
The routes in Classic RE 2 were different enough that you had 4 unique playthroughs. The routes in RE2R are so similar you're stuck with really 2 unique playthroughs. Claire should have had a chance of square off with Mr.X and Leon a chance with G4.
The love they put in was in the RPD section.

The game has a lot of love, but they can only put in as much as time allows.
