Metal Gear Solid

What's the best way to play the original Metal Gear Solid?

On a ps1 in 1998

I just played the PC version last december. The gane is Based no matter how you play it

Youtube long play because the PS1 version aged like shit and the gamecube version is soulless

There's also a PC port of the PS1 version, so maybe there's a mod that fixes the stupid amount of backtracking, shit controls, shit later half gameplay and less shittier boss battles

Does the PC version still work with modern computers?

Don't, it's a terrible game and not worth your time

On the Vita

PS1 classic

>Savestate
>No disks to fiddle with
>Faithful controller scheme

>complain about backtracking
>when there's a way to skip all that walking
fucking zoomer

>Vita

Yes, if you download the fan patch it runs fine

Bleemcast

How do I skip all the walking user

Twin snakes. Nobody actually owns the game so they just repeat what cuck jewtube reviewers tell them

Boxes

PC version is nice because higher resolution and no dithering or whatever the warping textures thing from the PS1 is called. or, emulate it for the same reasons, plus it would be easier to switch controller port for psycho mantis

This. Otherwise PM boss fight is ruined!

This.
Going back to the original is just a massive pain. Only 'tistics give a fuck about the missile jump.

twin snakes, unironically

Yes?

What improvements does it make?

On a original ps1 with a 4:3 CRT from the 90s/early 2000s
