Then after that goes straight for plague doctor which had 10 adepts already. Does the game mock me at this point? I never had these many random things that never happened before happen this many times. I just want to finish gebura suppression and then forcefully fight whitenight but i have been redoing day 41 for the past 2 days.

It really depends on the abnorms you have.
I can't even imagine the nightmare Hokma would be with a facility that has the train, mountain, QoH, the birds, AiB, and whitenight or any combination of management intensive abnormalities. Add in a few red ordeals and Binah's gonna look like a piece of cake.

100% completion and avoiding an ordeal when you're really close to meeting the quota. That's pretty much everything taht thing is good for.

What is the best way to play this game? I know for true ending you need to do all suppression and study all abbos 100% and that the game doesn't expect you to do it all in one go, but also that the game locks you in at Day 46.

How many midnight ordeals do I have to do in total?
I've done one and my memory usage already approached 50%, at which point the game usually crashes, so I'd be really reliefed if that's the furthest in a day I have to go.
Why does it crash around 50% anyway? That's "just" 4Gb used, out of the 8 I have and that they recommend.

It was really easy, just don't be like me and forget to execute clerks before Mountain escaped
I'm all for cleanliness so my department only had a couple corpses in upper, and I got lucky with Mountain going back to Central instead of crashing my party

eh, I haven't gotten QoH myself so I dunno what to do about that. If the employee's maxed out already then they stay at level 5 though, that's how it was possible for me to keep Censored in containment during that suppression.

This happens constantly. A name highlights when mousing over a group, click to control that guy, he doesn't do shit. The UI needs massive improvements. There should be a drop down menu with all employees you can select from, an upgrade to tell you when they're in combat, and an ability to regulate their movement to certain points in a room rather than just a whole room.

So I'm on day 14 and my only real threat is just little helper. He's breached a few times, but only when I was almost done with work so it was whatever. I've practiced fighting him anyway before finishing a day, and I've come to realize that microing my agents is kind of annoying. I can't seem to get them to move where I want without deselecting "suppress," and even then they take what feels like an eternity to stop suppressing and move to spots that would be optimal. Since kiting/elevator/room hopping seems to be the strategy for this little asshole, this is really shitting up my day. Thoughts? Prayers? Do I get a protocol later that lets me micromanage easier from another department?

That's what I tend to do but it works maybe 80% of the time. I'm salty for needing to retry a day just now but it just wasn't working. I've had it not work outside of combat or any kind time sensitive scenario as well.

I know, but like I said, it's like they're locked into an attack animation before they actually move. My agents with guns are quick to get around and I've made sure to beef their justice too, so they're non issues, but my melee dudes just eat dirt. The only real think that I can think of is constant justice grinding on everyone.

especially the slow ones, it's basically like your agent stuns himself every time he swings
the faster ones are tolerable against slower enemies but not usually unless they have some bonus like AoE or lifesteal
especially against little helper, who is very fast, you'll find your melee equipped agents to be more likely to be minced than to actually hurt him
prioritize distributing ranged weapons and collecting them, if you don't know which abnormalities have ranged weapons just keep going and don't fuck with helper too much
also if you need justice grinding, ironically, helper does help with that as an HE class that responds well to repression

Do ordeals get worse if you ignore them? I suspect they do so I kill them as soon as they arrive with my entire workforce, but they sometimes kill my low lvl agents.

Should I use a strike team and clear them room by room?

the real problem becomes if you have abnormalities that respond poorly to employee deaths, since they wrongly see clerks as people

I'm a little confused about damage types. I know employees basically have 2 health bars in HP and SP, but do abs and ordeal monsters also have separate HP and SP bars? Is there no point in sending a white weapon employee and red weapon employee against the same entity?

Meltdown tips from someone who hasn't done all of them yet
Malkuth: Use Shy Look Today or Child of the Galaxy to safely determine how they've been swapped as they like all types of work
Hod: Just charge up everyone on You Must Be Happy as necessary. It's not required to do them all at once, only bother to send them over when they can't work or become a liability for ordeals.
Yesod: If you do the meltdown after completing suppression for the other 3 upper sephirah and then repo to an early day, you can avoid having to remember many rules
Netz: Most people consider this the easiest already. Use abbos that heal for PE boxes (these won't actually heal but you're not taking damage at least, keeping your people fresher for ordeals). Fairy Festival, Shy Look, etc.
Tipp: Skip the midnight ordeal by immediately ordering everyone into rooms instead of fighting.
Gebura: Use the shelter to confuse the AI. If you do not have it, use elevators to teleport.

So I'm trying to do Tiphereth's suppression and I got to countdown number 9 before getting wiped by a green midnight because I didn't know what it was and wasn't in place to pass the dps check, especially after mountain of bodies broke out, and is its only effect really just making it so you can get meltdowns in the areas you already suppressed? That seems really minor compared to the upper floor's fucking Having to occasionally work on my zayins and teths isn't much at all compared to not being able to see shit or work types getting switched around..

The actual gimmick of that suppression is that it's longer than other ones, meaning you have to deal with a midnight. Midnights can only trigger after 8th meltdown.

Gebura Idea: send only 1 employee to Gebura Suppression, put them inside the shelter from the 27th of March, make Gebura fight all my ALEPHs over and over until dead

The length of it is the challenge, since you have to deal with a midnight. Removing the meltdown immunity on the other departments is more just an anti-cheese thing.

Put only 1 employee in the floor with her and if you have execution bullets execute all the clerks before they get infected, only use that one first employee to work on her he won't transform.

If you execute any clerk that got infected by mistake don't work on her for the day or she will instakill your employee

A large part of the game is literally figuring out how to deal with each Abnomally. Just experiment with each one till you learn what to do, and retry if you have to. At first you'll want to learn what each abnomally does so you don't piss them off and lose employees. But then you'll want to farm items from them, and later the game become seeing how many days you can go with the entire fuckin world ending by keeping the abnomallies calm.

I know. It made me sad aswell. But the buildup to 50 and then finally doing 50 realizing all of this had a purpose and which one that is (I won't spoil that for you) is legit one of the best payoffs I ever got from a game. just starting day 50 felt like christmas as a kid

They're a great way to train newbois. Get all stats to 2, send someone to tinman, use him on cooldown, next shift put that employee on strawman. You've got 5 in both now. Cycle them out every shift.

Always runs if hit and never attacks while outside of containment
In containment he deals low white damage to any employee who works on him but a successful work can drop his Q counter to 0 (starts at 2)

I tried a purple midnight for the first time. That was not ok even with having all the aleph gear you can get except the 2 super bosses. They could hold their own against the hands but the others could not survive the ordeal. I lost 1 hour trying to do this and now im just mulling over how the fuck should i even do any midnight for gebura.

If you have portrait, use it. The one inside still gets the sanity debuff I believe, but you can deal with a bad CENSORED roll by healing the one your employee is linked to.

I saw a post last night at the end of a thread from someone who was midway through the game or something predicting it would be "everyone including you dies and Angela makes out like a bandit with the proceeds" and they got one reply of someone saying they finished with a single agent left so I'm not really keen on it. I want Hod to live a good life away from all the monsters with me and my favorite employee. Mal and Net too maybe.

you literally can't win with a single agent left since you need one for every department and I don't think they ended day 50 with that many losses.
also, depending on your ending, different stuff happens. the neutral/normal end is kinda uplifting and solves all the problems and stuff you worked towards
now if he was talking about day 49, then yes, i concur: i also got through that with a single person left (pic related), but it was well worth it in the end and their loss is/was not in vain (again, storyreasons that I won't tell you about)
you also need to remember why the Sephirah are even doing this. what if their "happy life" could only be obtained by reaching the ultimate goal? you don't want to let them down and keep them hanging, right?

Granny is not bad. Her Q meter depleting doesn't count for other abnormalities triggers and her white gun is amazing for early game panics. The real worst Teth is Wall Gazer, nothing she gives you is worth it as her gun depletes sanity of everyone around it, she has no gift, and she doesn't breach (which is why Ppodae and Fragment aren't the worst, sometimes you need easy breaches)

Try to restart after suppressions, even if you lose people (unless you lose really good gear, restart if you do) Day 1 resets after suppressions make the early days go incredibly fast. Each suppression gives a cool bonus, like the hallways can heal you, or more E boxes, there are even better rewards that I won't spoil. Hod's is truly one of the best rewards.

daily mission rank means nothing and is only determined by # of employees still alive. it gives lob depending on that. don't sweat about it, as long as you don't lose too many high lvl ones at once.

What day are you on and what WAWs are they? Do you have You Must Be Happy? Do you have Portrait from another world? Or Crazed Notes? Or even Heart of Aspiration? These all can help.

you should really go and do Malkuths Core Suppression then. she's a nice starter one to ease you into the concept of "something different" and once you get what it is about you can easily do it.

I keep the linked employee's health up. I only use it for ALEPHs that I'm going to memory repository away. I got it pretty late in the game and I don't think it can help me much for the lower level suppressions
