My eyes dry out fast as fuck when playing, so considering buying a pair

>yes goyim color tinted plastic will save your eyes from video games instead of properly setting your monitor to the right levels of the room you're in

Legit or massive scam?
Anyone tried them?

I get hungry fast when gaming, so consider buying some snacks

>Yes goyim destroy your vision and your body by playing videogames and watching porn while jamal fucks your wife

Anything "gamer" is a scam.

They are scientifically proven to work, though
Just like staring at a blue screen is proven to mess up your sleep quality

>My eyes dry out fast as fuck when playing
Get a good monitor instead

They do work. Sadly they also make you look like a complete tool.

Look at him.

Look at how cool he looks.

I don't know about "gamer" glasses but I do wear UV protection glasses to protect my eyes

>2019
>There are people on this very board who haven't educated themselves about the dangers of blue light and use Yea Forums and all websites in Dark Mode to protect their eyes

If something includes "gamer" in the product name, it's overpriced shit.

just use flux

They work but aren't worth full price, a friend gifted me one and they are okay but it's like using f.lux

Okay, you made me interested, what's the deal with blue light?

>I'm not a jew YOU'RE A JEW

>cashews of chaos
sounds rad
why would you use anything else but tomorrow? Anything else is bright as fuck and hurts to look at

You fucked up, you need to buy the gamer glove and gamer butt plug alongside it for maximum efficiency.

As big of a scam as mechanical keyboards

t. poor wagie

>clearly CASHEWS OF CHADS

C H A D S H E W S

Blue light = blue sky = body instinct to stay awake because it thinks its daytime

I'm LITERALLY typing this out with a mechanical keyboard. They are overpriced bullshit that is marketed toward "hardcore gamers". The only reason they got popular is cause of youtubers/streamers.

Use f.lux and buy some eye drops.

Why did you get one? What did you think it would be like?

they do work but they have to be actual antireflex glasses that block UV light and those are expensive as fuck and sold by opticist. Those glasses need to have blue reflections instead of normal ones and are NOT tinted in any way

If you're using one of those gaymer keyboards where you don't even know which type of switches it has, then sure. I bought a filco majestouch 2 for better typing and it has helped me a ton for these past 5 years.

>Anti-fatigue
>Playing games

I was a code monkey for years never had a single problem and i looked at monitors for way longer anyone can possilbly stay during gaming. Its obiviously a scam just like gaming chairs, gaming whatever.

just lower the brightness of your screen and remember to blink & drink

Download f.lux and save yourself 300 dollars

One of my coworkers uses "computer glasses" during the day on his office job, so that his eyes don't dry out too much and he can play video games without glasses during the evening. Pretty sure he got them from a real optometrist.

YMMV

>They do work. Sadly they also make you look like a complete tool.
If it's stupid but it works..

They work but you can filter out the blue light now natively in windows.

>i looked at monitors for way longer anyone can possilbly stay during gaming
user, some people literally keep playing MMORPGs until they starve.

I bought a pair some years ago and I used them quite often
They have lenses that make everything a little bigger in front of you so you don't have to stress your eyes as much, the tinted glass basically has the same effect as f.lux
They helped out a lot when I was playing 10+hours a day because my eyes legit started hurting after a while

/thread

ok how do I change blue light in 4chanx i can't even get past all these options where is it?!

You do it with f.lux you fucking retard

No those are asian people and they are not people.

macular degeneration is a serious and horrible thing, don't underestimate how fragile your eyes can actually be

You can literally buy yellow tinted eyewear for a couple dollars from hardware stores that do the exact same things as your 100$ scam brand glasses

>reading in dark mode ever
enjoy cancer eyes when reading white text

Sure but easily impressionable youths find these brand glasses far more attractive

Just install Flux you dumb retard.

I had some when I'd play late at night for six hours until I had to fall asleep for classes or work the next day, and they actually helped with that. It could have been placebo, but it was useful.

oh I already have flux my screen looks light orange I was wondering if 4chanx had a dark option in here somewhere

fix your daylight lamp and fucking sun from the window with f.lux

Different color lenses are recommended to be worn at different times of the day, especially to people who actually need glasses to see or people who force their eyes a lot like people who stare at computer screens all day. You might not need gamer glasses but maybe you could use a pair with the yellow tinted lenses.

Just take little pauses, lower your monitors brigthness or just keep more distance from you and the screen. All this products are a scam and if you think of using glasses, well, better get used to start wearing them all the time because your eyes adjusts to depend on them

Glasses won't prevent your eyes from drying out. You need to learn to how to blink while playing video games.

Just pirate those glasses

blue light isn't just in things that are coloured blue you know

reminder win10 literally has the same as flux

what, you version can't do that basic stuff? scrub

If you use Windows 10 open the notification tray and find the "Night light" button and turn it on. This simulates the gamer glasses for free.

Based. I'm so used to the blue light filters I've set up, turning them off makes everything look fucked up now.

not just that but you can customize its orange tint AND set it for certain hours(like 7pm to 9am, for example)

>filter blue light
>turn your brightness way down
>turn on your lights or have ambient lighting at night
>sleep properly
>hydrate
was that so hard?

>Do all that work
>Or just use a pair of glasses to fix everything
Yeah, I'm going with glasses, bro

good goy

Threadly reminder to wear sunglasses when out or driving in daylight hours.

Save your eyes. See your optometrist. Take preventative care.

Or you can just stop being a low test beta male and not be bothered by it

Anyone spending more than two hours consecutively staring at blue light is an absolute moron.

Fuck not being able to sleep blue light is the only light that penetrates the eye all the way back to the macular. Overuse/stimulation of the Macular causes a little known thing called Macular Degeneration, which basically means dark/black spots in your vision for the rest of your life.

There is no cure for macular degeneration, once you get these dark spots they never go away. The only remedy is to get your eyes literally replaced with a donor's and take drugs for the rest of your life so your body doesn't reject them.

Anyone who plays vidya for prolonged periods of time without a blue light filter of some kind: "gamer glasses", gun-range glasses, Flux, Windows 10 Night Light mode, etc. is literally going to go blind.

It ain’t stupid then

The important part is having a UV reflection layer in your glasses. I used to get a bunch of problems when playing a lot while wearing my old plain glasses, after I replaced them with ones that happened to reflect UV light I never got any headaches or sore eyes since. The GAMER tag with yellow colouring are a massive scam to drive up the price but the glasses themselves work.

goggles wont help then, unless they moisturize your eyes, or force you to blink.
dry eyes in front of a monitor come from less than normal blinking, so the solution is to blink more often.

You can buy glasses that have the same effect and don't have the GAMER tag or look retarded.

Tried this for a week, and found I fell asleep faster, didn't make much difference to how much I slept though.

Best practice is to look away from the monitor to somewhere far away every 20-30mins for 30s.

Also dark mode is a godsend to reduce eye strain, makes the biggest difference imo.

This. Anything with the word "gamer" on it is an overpriced scam at best, and useless merch at worst.
Still, there's a software that supossedly does the same called f.lux or something. For free.

>Gamer dragon dildos

windows has a blue light filter, monitors now come with a blue light filter. Yes its a scam.

Literally just use a blue light filter, wtf

sure it has

air out your room you filthy pig

>have trouble sleeping
>Yea Forums is a blue board

Attached: 1289850305159.png (384x221, 45K)

How do glasses stop ones eyes from drying out?

its not the fucking monitors, its OVERLY lit offices with those eye death trap overhead lights. I really need to invest in one of these things.

That shit sends you to the hospital lmfao...its all profit they let heavy metals and shit taint it.

turn down your monitor brightness if youre in the dark

I didn't know something so silly like this existed

Attached: 18.jpg (464x740, 159K)

doesn't work, you need a yellow piss filter like deus ex

why not just get a monitor that filters all the blue light?

>eating cashews of chaos
>not nuts of destruction
fucking casuals ruining this board

>The first three GamerFood Products are ""Cashews of Chaos"", honey roasted cashews; ""Nuts of Destruction"", ancho chili lime-flavored peanuts; and ""Seeds of Victory"", sunflower seeds. All three of these products contain caffeine, taurine, ginseng, and lysine. These ingredients are said to enhance short-term memory, concentration, focus, and alertness.

This guy would've been a multimillionaire if he was born 10 years later and got on that twitch train.

it decreases eye strain a whole lot. If you are concerned with your circadian rhythm, install f.lux.

nigga just install f.lux

>but I did this and I am ok
the mark of autism

Remember kid's if it's fatal1ty branded, it's shit.

No its the mark of reality you fags are so weak even fucking light can kill you. Grow a spine and dont believe eveything you see on the internet. I swear if i start rumoring drinking more than half a litre of water in a week is toxic you shitheads are going to die of dehidratation.

When manufacturers put the word GAMER on something, it is because they think the people who would actually buy it are Gay And Maybe Even Retarded.

Tried it a few years ago and it didn't help improve my gaming, but it increases my sperm count by 300%, don't know why.

no, its because they are marketing to kids.

How about making use of what Windows already does for you for free? And also how about adjusting your screen while you're at it?

And if you don't use Windows, I'm pretty sure the same already exists for Linux and Mac.

Attached: here it's free_.gif (502x540, 2.83M)

>not having a bowl of fresh water to refresh your eyes with every hour
fucking plebs

This

>not replacing your eyes with implants so you can see every spectrum of light possible
plen

I use them when working in the office. Those god damn cheap-ass TN monitors are melting my eyes so without the glasses I am basically unable to work.

Best part my eyes are not even tired in the end of the day and I can play games at home no problem.

>not playing underwater
lmaoing @ ur lyfe

Are these just a blue light filter? Because you could just install f.lux you know.

most monitors can do blue light or w/e. i just choose not to use it

>all these retards saying use f.lux or window's function
How does that eliminate all the blue light your screen is shooting straight into your eyes everytime you use your screen? Dim the brightness and that will help much more than a color change.

Attached: 1431816890529.png (800x505, 22K)

based

Those are just blue light filter glasses user, you can just set the filter via software for free

user BTFO

Wait what? How often do you get your sperm tested?

>what is color temperature

The "gamer" markup is a scam. Most modern monitors have a blue light filter option.
Failing that just buy a cheap pair of UV safety glasses like Uvex. You'll look like an idiot but you'll look like an idiot with "gamer" glasses on also, so who cares.
Hope you weren't planning on wearing either outside anyways.

They work.
