It's actually not a terrible game. It got more shit than it deserved just for its poor timing. No chance in hell you'll get all the medals though because the online was dead even at launch, but the missions are fairly varied and take you to some neat settings. It also does this weird thing where it has Samus save your ass and be better than you but then humiliates her only to have her once again save your ass.

I thought at first that it must just be a Federation Force mech that was intentionally drawn smaller than Samus - they're much larger than the humans that pilot them in the game - to just kind of accentuate their relative importance, but the hand doesn't match. FF mechs have two wide fingers and a thumb instead but, more importantly, only a left hand since the right is their gun. So yeah, it's something new hanging out near Samus but much smaller.

Whatever it is it looks like some kid friendly robot shit.

Guys, the robot arm is a red herring. Mario is actually just blocking Diddy's robotic, extendable arm that he'll use in Retro's third DKC game that they were working on before switching to Prime 4. The real clue is the fact that there are four metroids flying around. This tells us that Metroid Prime 4 will be a 4D game.

Is Retro NoA's only dev studio?

I disagree. There are some nice moments like working your way into a metroid breeding lab only to have them, of course, break out and force you to bail out the way you came in now with metroids on top of the pirate soldiers and the only thing to keep waves of hungry metroids at bay being a slow beam with limited ammo. Or getting the chip that splits your missiles into two and mowing down a horde of enemies. I know the game could have been much more. I'm just saying that it isn't a total and complete abomination.

slow as fuck fps with lock on mechanics and terrible movement, awful graphics, third rate star wars style music, unremarkable linear level design

it's a terrible game that no one would even remember if it was a new ip released exclusively on the eshop, sakura samurai is a masterpiece in comparison
