Personally, I'm fine with anyone liking Undertale. I don't really care what others enjoy, if it works for you that's fine. My experience with the game is that I found it to be deeply flawed on a core level by having such a one-sided narrative. Although I'm sure this is unfair, I also think people who like the game are the kind of people who turn their brains off when it comes to entertainment. Which again, I have no problem with. I think some people are willing to be taken on a journey/experience simply because they want to, no matter how flawed the game.

I just wish they would admit they're forgiving flaws, instead of just dicksucking the game over and over (and this goes for any work, not just Undertale.) Though maybe it's just a matter of them having no experience with what good writing looks like. On that note, I will say Undertale is a game that plays to the "awkward internet weirdos" demographic. It's basically fanfiction: the game, but with relatively original characters for once.

As for OP's prompt, my personal pick is Dragon Quest 5 when Papas/Pankraz dies. Particularly the SNES version I think, because it's shown as a standard battle, but one where Pankraz just takes hits and doesn't fight back until he dies. I thought that was a great way of showing through gameplay exactly what was going on.
