Trying to 112% Hollow Knight. 96% is my current progression and it is getting fuckimg hard. Am I going to die?

I got to 103% and stopped. I suck so bad I can't beat Trial of the Fool so fuck this game. I loved it though.

It's the third trial. I have no problem with combat, I am good enough in melee so spells are mostly useless for me. I always die in the part where you have to wall jum constantly to evite the spikes on the floor

that it "improved" the original can be debated. I personally like the original because it's an obvious love letter for the msx. The remake remove all references to the msx, changes the art and makes the gameplay much easier.

All I have left is the pantheon of hallownest but I can't do it.

It was 100 in the vanilla version. It goes 112 because of the dlcs

Losing to Pure Vessel isn’t something that should enter your mind when attempting to beat AR. The only time you’re even allowed to think “this could go wrong” is the final climb to AR’s last form. Beating NKG, Zote and PV isn’t the problem, never losing to them is the problem.

I gave up on 111%. Couldn't do the Pantheon of the Knight, Pure Vessel tears me a new one each time.

Thinking of picking this up on pc. Is playing with keyboard and mouse decent or should I get a controller?

I completed almost everything in this game. The only thing left is charm binding in 5th pantheon. Once I'm done I can finally delete it

Momodora Reverie Under the Moonlight was my first metroidvania and I absolutely loved it. Next up I'm gonna try Hollow Knight and Axiom Verge because I really like the art direction in those

The person who made this pic didn't play every single game in this list. Both Dawn and Aria in the same spot? My dude, I was alive in 2005, people who played Aria didn't complete liked Dawn, for starters, the fucking art style was off putting. Clearly a downgrade over Aria.

Hey I liked those games, but there are far better games. The best part of getting into the genre with decent games is that you will feel how the quality increases a lot when you play games like HK. Also I recommend you Ori, and get into Metroid after playing Axiom Verge

That's why you use the spells. Abyss Shriek keeps you in the air for a second and hits enemies above you. Also don't forget you can pogo on spikes.

Sorry user, but CoD made me feel like falling asleep. Dracula's Castle was especially disappointing when a majority of it was just a gauntlet of enemies in a series of identical rooms.

if 96% is """"hard""""" for you then just quit nigger. I'm stuck at 109% and now its what I'd consider getting hard. Basically if you have any trouble with radiance/ grimm/ pure vessel just quit, you won't be able to beat the pantheons anyway.

try ori and MAYBE rabi ribi (more danmaku than metroidvania)

i beat the game with zero issues with m+kb, but i've heard some people mention that precise platforming can be easier with a controller. can't confirm myself though.

All I need now is the third colosseum trial, Godhome, and Nightmare Grimm.
