Now that the dust has settled.
Was the psp really that good?

>Awful analog stick layout
>Doesn't use Minidiscs but another optical format
It certainly had it's flaws, but it was still pretty powerfull

It's a very, very good emulation machine. It's actual games were pretty good too.

It was a pos with no games and only used for emulators which were also shit because it couldn't run anything. POS like anything sony. Fuck sony.

It was better than that.

Ebin wojak my fellow sonybro. We sure showed the tendies how baddass we are after dilating by posting wojaks and golden faces.

Nint*ddlers cry about muh no games just like with the vita but both the psp and vita have twenty times more worthwhile games than their bing bing wahoo consoles with literally two games. They're just mad that nintendo fucks them hard, it's pretty sad really.

Cope.

probably the best handheld ever made
coming from quite the DS fan

It was ahead of it's time. Maybe too much for it's own good. Kinda like the dreamcast of handhelds.

>Snoys have so few games to play that they spend all their time thinking about other consoles

Its homebrew scene was crazy back in the day, and it was the most powerful handheld you could get back then, which made it great for emulation. There really weren't very many good exclusives in the end, but it had a lot of good ports and you could even play PS1 games on it. Personally I like that there's like a dozen really good turn based strategy games on it, even a couple that aren't ports. Also monhun.

Especially today it's pretty underwhelming, and I haven't touched mine or even PPSSPP in years, but at the time it, and the scene around it seemed pretty amazing.

But the PSP sold well.

Dreamcast had games though.

So did the PSP.

It was a portable emulator. Nothing more. Vita had a better quality build, but it was ignored.

Haha, good one.

The PSP and Dissidia were the defining video games of my high school career. Was always the first to school since I had to be dropped off early by pops so had lots of time to play and chat with the autistic computer teacher before classes.
>guy even homebrewed it for me right there in the school computer lab
Shit was cash.

がんばるぞい

Best handheld really. My only gripe is battery which lasts 3-4 hrs. on UMD.

>ever using the UMD drive when the thing is so easy to hack.

Well every nintendo product after psp has been inspired by it. So dunno maybe it was good then.

one analog stick on a handheld? 3ds

Can use a handheld as secondary screen/stream games from main console? wiiu

handheld with home console quality games and also plugs in to tv? switch

it's all big conspiracy. don't trust anyone.
