theres not really any point in complaining about losing slashing, as all the melee dps suffered the same fate so we're all on equal grounds in that respect.

If GNB's potency's go up (which i imagine they will) then I think PLD MT/GNB OT will be the absolute meta, you have an absolutely insane amount of party mitigation with PLD/GNB and PLD's personal mitigation is only marginally worse than WAR/DRK because of how good Sheltron will be.

Overall, assuming potencies go up then I think GNB will always off tank no matter who they're matched with, PLD will off tank when matched with anyone but GNB and if you get a WAR/DRK setup then DRK MT's if heavy magic damage, otherwise WAR.

You most definitely can, just do daily leveling roulette and it should be more than enough to get a job from 60 to 70 before early access starts.

Sounds like enough time to get into an Alliance and Leveling, which is good exp. With the extra hour, you can do about 3-4 HoH runs which are good exp as well. Completely possible to level up several DPS jobs like that.

Leveling roulette and the alliance roulette give the biggest exp yields out of all the dailies. you can easily do both within 1-2 hours.

Alternatively, if you have time after both of those are done, a few runs of Heaven on High will help inch you closer.

FoF is actually more damage output, but lower DPS. But mainly it's so that shitters who can't upkeep GL do a bit more damage because Yoshi is a hack when it comes to non-BLM jobs.
Anyway the damage calc is:
(damage)*1.3*1.1 for FoF with GL3 and (damage)*1.4 for GL4 with FoW. So if you can somehow snapshot Demolish with Twin Snakes+FoF+GL3 while building your stacks then you should do so

all damage abilities were removed other than one dot, one single target spam spell and one aoe spam spell for every healer. healing has always been mostly done through oGCDs so there's barely anything to do with your GCD now.

Instead of making WHM better they just made AST and SCH as shitty as WHM. Except WHM is still objectively the worst because it still doesn't have a raid buff.

If you're going to play a Veena you may as well make a Miqo'te.

Once you get fire 3 you no longer really use transpose unless MP dictates against it (won't be a problem in Shadowbringers). Blizzard 3 and Fire 3 are used to swap between Astral and Umbral.

Flare uses all your MP which forces you to transpose but once shadowbringers is in play, Ice spells are free in Astral Fire (and vice versa for Fire spells) meaning you'll always be able to Blizzard 3/Freeze swap.

THEN enochian will come into play which will bring along a new rotation as you fit in Fire 4 and Blizzard 4. It won't change much after this, though Foul will be your fancy new nuke every 30s

a lot of fights have a "here's a big chunk of damage during down time" part, so it helped.
It also helped during prog when ilvls were low, spells like Light of Judgement or Ion Efflux can easily kill if someone isn't topped off.

I'll be honest, SCHbros, I was kind of hoping they would remove Bio & Miasma. DPSing on SCH was never that interesting. Once you experience Tri-disaster with both DoTs on the same 30s, it's hard to go back to manually reapplying them every 24s.

Three damage abilities with more focus on healing and shielding sounded so much more interesting. Imagine my disappointment when the outrage on the removal of damage skills was overblown. I was praying to God the rumors were true.

3% Haste was actually more than what 20% Spell/Skillspeed was for anyone that wasn't stacked on SkS/SpS back in ARR. It's also enough that DRG in my static borderline hated me for using it on pulls and where I found room to fit it without it costing me anything in all of SB.

I'd have to go from 0-70 or 60-70 from absolutely scratch which will probably involve skipping the story, get to ilvl 380-400 for the first 5 or so levels of Shadowbringers, get a bunch of orange parses to join a raiding static, and get into an Ultimate raiding static before the expac hits in a month. If I started in like January or something it could've been done by now but it's a tad bit too late. If I had any friends it might be a different story but that's not the case. Maybe I'm just a handlet but I can't use Ctrl binds comfortably at all. And I don't use any numbers beyond 5. Most of my binds are just the letters surrounding wasd, some shift+1-5 and letters.

1-5 basic attacks
shift 1-5 aoe/dots/alternate combo/secondary attacks (Fire IV above Fire I is nice)
ctrl 1-5 buffs/job-specific tools (AST cards for example)
F1-5 buttons you only press once every few minutes or in specific situations, but you HAVE to keep mapped (Diversion, Shirk and Provoke for tanks, buffs that are on longer cooldowns, etc.).
Then move things around so you're comfortable with them.

Try to do things so they make sense visually, like for DRK's combos, they both start on Hard Slash, so have one combo be bound to 1 2 3, and set the other combo's parts above it on shift 2 and shift 3. This way, the actions still flow from 1 to 3, but you aren't double-binding.

because none of the healers are fun. HW added. SB took away. ShB is taking everything but the essentials.

Looking at all jobs overall I'd rank the AFs as ARR > SB > ShB > HW, but there are exceptions in each category where some look great and some look bad.

The only AF4 set which stands out to me is SAM. Every other set is either ugly, ruined by unnecessary buttcapes, and/or is just a dull retreading of an earlier AF set. Like the PLD AF4 set doesn't look -bad-, but it's just yet another set of white armour with gold/silver trim and blue cloth bits. It's so unoriginal there was no point even adding it, particularly since it's not even as nice as AF3 and has a buttcape. For some reason the designers are super reluctant to deviate from the stock look for each job.

youre not taking into account oGCDs for some reason? bosses arent dummies, any rotation is braindead if youre attacking a dummy

in every fight you use oGCDs to save GCD space for you and your co-healer to increase your damage. there are no mechanics involved in whatever the fuck we cast except for ED: miasma is a better broil that you cast every 24s and shadowflare is barely something you realize youre casting because its so automatic. even then taking those two spells away is barely even scratching the stuff that we use during a battle

every faerie spell is now on the oGCD which means we need to weave them as well, and they were nerfed across the board, which means we will have to use our aetherflow more mindfully. every time you cast an oGCD heal youre saving a broil, stone or malefic that would be consumed by a GCD heal, how is this not included in your fucking stupid calculations?

Only WHM gained something in HW. SCH lost Aero (and both WHM and SCH lost Thunder back in 2.1). With SB, WHM lost Aero and AST lost Combust, SCH lost Bio and Miasma II but Miasma II was quickly readded and buffed.
With SHB WHM will lose Aero III, SCH loses Miasma, Energy Drain and Miasma II. AST is unchanged.
No one sane thought the dot culling of SB was a good idea as nothing was introduced to replace it for healers to do and there doesn't seem to be anything doing so in ShB either. SCH will have almost everything new on the oGCD which leaves them even more able to just blindly mash Broil while WHM has to trade GCD for one or the other and AST at least plays with cards on the oGCD even if they are shittier than SB iteration.

It depends on the job, I'd probably go more for that some jobs fall into "ruts" appearance-wise while others don't seem to have those constraints. PLD is quite similar between AF3/AF4 and AF1/AF2, BLM has a radically different outfit every expac, WHM got the hooded robes out of the way with AF1/AF2 to have pretty different outfits with AF3/AF4, SMN has a pretty samey outfit with AF2/AF3 and AF4 being a throwback to AF1. NIN gets pretty different ones but they tend to be a visual clusterfuck, MNK doesn't really seem to know what its visual identity should be between expacs (but for it we got good outfits like AF3 and AF4), DRG has had Kain to nip from for three AFs in a row now but had pretty distinct armors with each one and is only just now doing its own thing, AST is getting into the "fortune-teller" rut full stop since the whole point of its job is it is one, I'm sure you know what I mean by now by a "rut".
