That's what you have to learn then user, how to counter that. Watch vids, understand every character and how your main can counter them, try out different characters (which Im sure you have), etc.

At this point, I think I've decided to not buy the full game. I have enjoyed the beta, and I will continue playing it, but I don't see myself playing this for any significant period of time, especially with the other fighting games that are available now, and SamSho will be around too by the time GBFV comes out on top of that too. I find it hilarious that Arc System Works won't bother to implement GGPO at the very least, while NetherRealm Studios of all people actually patched Mortal Kombat X with GGPO due to player feedback and vastly improved the online performance. I'm not sure if XI is also using GGPO, but I haven't had a single issue with it since release, yet the Granblue Fantasy Versus beta I had a couple great opponents with solid connections mixed in with tons of insanely laggy matches and a bunch that wouldn't even connect at all.

Okay I think I know what the issue is. Go into the account settings on the account you redeemed the games (code vein and granblue) and make 100% sure that the console you're playing on is set as Primary for that account. Otherwise you'll only be able to boot it using the account you redeemed it on. If that's still not working, the only other issue I can think of would be that you've got some sort of parental controls on that's preventing you from playing.

It's got way more depth than DBFZ, I can tell you that much. Maybe not as much crazy shit to remember as Guilty Gear or BlazBlue, but definitely a higher skill ceiling than DBFZ.

games fun, but I think its still missing some important things to keep it fun and fresh for both viewers and players. movement speed should be both increased on the ground just slightly in the air, more command normals, and expanding on the combo system would be a great next step in my opinion.

Just add a bit more pushback and make the walkspeeds faster and the game will feel golden. The combo routes should get reworked too

The limited move pool does make it feel simple, but the game also feels solid enough that it won't be that big of an issue, or at least I hope. A lot of people say it feels slow, but it's so fucking engaging on top of a lot of wide-screen and movement based moves that I'm not noticing it all.

Gran's supers are both classified as projectiles since they are basically just super hadoukens. Supers in general give you invincibility through projectiles so assuming a scenario where both of you have 100% meter, you can only confirm Gran's super from a whiff punish or at the end of a string because like Lancelot can just use his level 1 and he runs through your projectile

I really like the game, but combos seem inconsistent. Sometimes I can combo Gran's close triple into 214+Weak, sometimes it gets blocked. Maybe it's just an online thing but it feels way too random.

I think it's cool but it'll probably only be used in world lobbies and within a month of the game coming out people will only be playing in player lobbies, I imagine.

She IS overpowered. No way in hell she's gonna be in the final game this strong.

This happens because the online servers are shit and the game can't make a connection between you. There's literally nothing you can do but keep trying or move onto someone else. It's not even ping related, because it happened to me and some guy and when it finally did connect it was lag free.

Cobsidering my experience with Cygames have been positive since they listen to feedback 90% of the time (Except Shadowverse because they cant balance and design cards for shit these days), they'll consider all of these suggestions like increase walkspeed and pushback. Game is fun but it really needs more.

After you land a command normal, hold and do a dash with double tapping forward. If you only press 6 (forward) once you will do the evasion but if you input 66 as a dash you can cancel into a dash

The only thing that desperately needs adjustment is the scaling on her fireball super, but I feel like scaling might have been toned down across the board for the purpose of the beta. She's a very strong character, but she has weaknesses; stop making claims about how strong someone is, or who needs nerfs, before we even have a training mode to study matchups and defense.

If you see the match conclusion screen, there's a sub menu where you both can only just click lobby right now. They want to get as much data on the lobby system as possible which is why you have to restart the matches from the lobby but clearly in the full game, the sub menu will have options like lobby, rematch, character select

That's not even half the potential combo starters our routes, though. You had midscreen and corner combos, the various different starters to work with, and then you optimize for damage or SKD for pressure.

Why would I play Gran when Katalina does the same shit but with better buttons?

I've been using the d pad to block as well like just inputting back or holding down back, but the thing with the block button is it puts you in guard stance whether or not there is an attack from your opponent incoming which makes it differ from the traditional back and down back blocking. It is also why you are able to guard dash cancel because some moves are very plus that you have the time to cancel into a guard animation +dash

that's what I've been trying to do but it doesn't seem to come out when I hold down-back. Do I have to literally just hold down?

It's a move that gets stronger the longer you charge it and it gets properties like invincibility at the higher levels. You can cancel the charge by pressing a button while charging it but you keep your current charge level still, so you can keep going in and out of charging it to get it to max level. I think you just use the move by letting go of the charge while charging it, but that's where my issue with it has come in, seeing as I've gotten it charged plenty but not been able to actually make use of it.

So this has been a pretty fun weekend.

Also forgot to mention that it has a limit of two followups, so, for example, you can do 5C>2B>2C but not 5C>2B>5C. I stopped trying after it didn't work the first two times, so I could be wrong on the repeat buttons and I was just mistiming my inputs, though.

My feelings are mixed.

There's a JPN only demo on PS4 and X1 right now, has a two hour time limit like the Resident Evil 2 demo did. On PS4 not only do you need a JPN account to get it, but that account needs PS+ which most people won't have so screw that. X1 though you can literally just set your console's location to Japan, reset and download the demo from the demo section of the store. No extra accounts needed, and the demo is completely in English if your system is set to English.

Why the do people need to practice combos. Literally LLL special. Add an ex move in for a wall bounce in the corner. That's it

Tekken combos are the sweet spot for me. Simple BNB stuff that you can learn in 30 seconds works just fine, but if you want to go turbo autist you can squeeze out 5-10% more damage on most characters. They're not too long and you use a variety of them depending on stage positioning for optimal wall splats.

they're fine, but a lot of moves don't have a good reason to be ex'd since you lose the utility for so long without enough bonus. most ex dps come to mind, if the regular ones are already invincible one button dp's with decent damage why bother ex'ing it and not being able to do it for a while. i'm cool with super maxing out cooldowns on whiff, since it'll punish people for raw supers/fucking up chip kills
i feel like making charlotta a charge character was a mistake in the grand scheme of things, since the only moves worth exing on her are spinning dash and demon flip so you end up just using r1 for everything so you dont have to charge
