The annoying thing is 2 isn't even that good.
The bosses are random and have no overall theme that makes sense.
Stages are much easier other than a random gimic like quick man beams of death.
The weapons are mostly useless other than metal man which overpowers everything else.
The only reason I think it's popular is because since the stages are easier it means more people have gotten farther and had a better time playing it.
