SKATE is better.

They tried to change the gameplay and controls schemes up, but it flopped. I remember when they introduced those shitty skateboard peripherals.

Those were spinoffs more than anything. The last true THPS (made by Neversoft) was Proving Ground. It flopped because nobody gave a shit anymore.
