I appreciate them trying so hard to stick to the Paper Mario aesthetics but something about the graphics/characters seems off. Like they’re too washed out or dark or something.
Honestly looks like a hybrid of paper Mario and okami
soulless
The dude has no understanding of lighting or proper shading for 2d/3d hybrid. Everything should have fresnel and skylight and it would look 100000x better.
oh hey it's that game again.
Gambare, the dev. If you're lurking.
The trailer starts out pretty awkward, but it gets better later on. Showcases everything fair enough. The music's kinda' weak though, don't you think?
I remember when that fag was shilling the game here and it looked 10x worse
And hey man, look at that. Must feel nice having those logos at the end of your trailer
SWITCH, STEAM, PS4... What an accomplishment.
SOULLESS
The biggest problem is the color. Everything in a grass area is green, everything in the desert theme is sand color, everything in the cave is grey. It looks terrible and needs more colors.
Congrats, cant wait to play this game.
I wish Paper Mario never strayed from its path to begin with. PM and TTYD were fantastic games. then they hit us with 3 train wrecks back to back to back with SPM, SS, and CS, fuck me...
My only problem is that music sounds like some tune that you hear when on the phone waiting for a consultant
the style and designs are not appealing at all. reminds me of a flash game more than paper mario.
They should hire an artist to redo all the assets. I'm down with indie games but it's hard to get into something that looks so amateurish.
Inconsistent line thickness.
Poor color choice.
Sprites and environments bleed together.
The outlines are a bit too thick, I think
actually I wanted this.
But maybe they will make some mods for it, I hope
LMAO, they will probably get hit by a C&D pretty soon.
Why do indie devs insist on soullessly copying mainstream games instead of comign up with something unique and original of their own?
They literally are confirmed to be on switch so Nintendo approved them.
Still looks pretty bad. Wasn't this the game where a random user drew better sprites for the main character in a matter of minutes?
The quality of the splash art is what the sprites should look like. Cleaner and with shading. The designs are good, it's just held back by being drawn by someone that doesn't know how to draw.
Yes but I bet any artist would ask thousands of dollars to draw so many hand drawn frames.
>Nintendo just allowed Wargroove on their system because they never want to make another Advance Wars
>Nintendo just allowed this because they never want to make another real Paper Mario game
Bug Fables could do a very small-scale kickstarter to redo the assets. If the fans want to pay for that then cool, if not then no harm done.
Better
Been following this game since the demo, can’t wait for release.
After Mno9 I doubt anyone making 2 kickstarters will get any good rep.
nintendo hire this man
I think you're grasping for buzzwords.
You could get better sprites for about $300 a character.
If you can't afford that, you shouldn't be making a game.
switch port is already confirmed
In general it's very rough. I think it will be fun but the artwork could be better. I'd prefer they put that money elsewhere first anyway but it is noticeable.
The dev could just learn how to draw. All that takes is time.
It takes less time to pay an artist by an order of magnitude.
That saturation is vomit inducing.
Obviously the shit I added isn't great because I did it in 2 minutes, but still. It needs way more color.
>fug babies
STILL HURTS
>If you're lurking
He's the OP
stop shilling your shitty fucking game
