The biggest issue in the depths though is that anything that isn't a greatsword or hammer doesn't stagger very well so you can't play very aggressively.
I mean, the run I've come closer to beating the Milk Bearer was me, Yakumo, and another guy with a greatsword and we basically stagger locked her to death until we started fucking up in the second phase.

Use the big ass sword. Running button and Square to do some kinda straight thrust. It knocks light enemies off their feet in one shot. 2-3 to knock large enemies off their feet. Think only bosses are immune to getting knocked off their feet from this attack.

To add insult to injury, it costs ichor, and ranger blood clode has costing one ichor more damaging skill that is instantaneous, and has close to no cooldown.
There is not point in playing bayonets unless you want to roleplay or something.

i gave up on that long ago. I just use a large sword stab to knock em down then regular swing to finish them off. Tho there are certain enemies that just attack way too much before I can get a stab in so I just block and let teammate kill it.

there's a full body "thickness" slider that also changes your boob size

You're literally better off using the default blood bullet spell. It uses the same amount of ichor, does more damage, has more range, isn't tied down to a weapon, and I'm pretty sure it can be used by any class as long as you've unlocked inheritance for it.

I think you might need to stagger enemies or catch them off guard before fight happens to do it, there is some trick to it and you can't backstab it like in Dark souls, although i can't say yet the determining factor for backstab.

Vast majority of games have moments where they chug due to a huge explosion of particles it's not a big deal, a game shouldn't need to run perfectly 60+ fps 24/7 no matter the situation unless you're autistic. If it runs well 99% of the time it's fine.

Another thing i was surprised about is the character customization. Holy shit i have never seen or played a game with this level of options and details before it is insane how unique your character can be.

You can do it! Usually she charges at you and do a 3 hit combo. It's slow enough so you can dodge 3 times. She'll be open to attacks then. I beat her at level 40 with +4 Zweihander.

Not that I can tell, you're really just supposed to parry when they attack or circle around. What's weird is that they can switch targets as they're parrying you, which usually results in them whiffing their counter.

You can block all of Queen's Knight attack except the final jump attack. Then just slowly chip away at him when he's open.

Blade Bearer... you can block but she still hurts a shitload when you block her attacks. I recommend you just git gud and dodge everything.

Yeah, it strikes a very awkward balance. I find the mob fights to be incredibly unfun. Enemies' attacks can hit you from across the room but yours always feel like they're just missing unless you're close enough to lick the enemy's nipples.

Sekiro really spoiled me. I also wish stamina meter was somehow more distinct on the HUD.

I'm also on PS4 Pro and there are definitely slowdowns during the Blade Bearer fight when there are a lot of particle effects on-screen, especially her ice attacks. The framerate also shoots up significantly when your AI partner bites the dust.

PS4 Pro here. It runs at a steady 120fps with no drops. Already pre-ordered the collectors edition and will support Bandai in the future with more incredible unique innovative titles like this.

If you manage to get the momentum with staggers first the bosses get fucked.

My favorite part of Code Vein is how the gun will just fire into the ground sometimes when you have a target locked. Happened a lot against the berserker boss, was great fun. My second favorite part is how parrying is unwieldy dogshit and really frustrating. It's not just timing-based, it requires perfect spacing or else you just eat shit, making it largely useless. Just roll and dodge.

I liked the one from the Stinger and Ivy one. The Stinger is pretty brutal and the Ivy one is very cool specially on a ranged or caster character.

You have to dodge everything from Blade Bearer, just try and get through her first phase without healing and make you have every healing upgrade.
