Synthwave has become my favorite genre of music. Is there any games out there with this type of music or something similar to it?

>le bearded faggot face
What the fuck is wrong with synthwave, faggot?
Far Cry Blood dragon did it best. Too bad we are never going to get a proper game like that.
Trevor Something - Synthetic Love.

Furi
Too floaty and too much reverb. You do you though.
Perfect. Thanks.
Need for Speed Underground 2.
What can I say? I'm a sucker for the woman's vocals in that song.
Check out the YT channel 'Luigi Donatello" if you want someone who just puts up random (usually good) tracks. Then you can see what you like artist wise. I recommend JDownloader to scrape things like SoundClouds of the artists.
>for stand alone tracks
>Sentient
I mean, it's pretty chill, but Pert's got some better stuff on that album.
Post your favorite, silly user.
Some of Distance has some pretty decent Synthwave tunes.
youtube.com
I really like this channel for it feeds my autism
youtube.com
yeah, doesnt this game feature carpenter brut music? he's the king of synthwave imo
Furi is basically synthwave in game form.
rave.dj
Great remix material, too.
God bless you, user
Here is some of the songs I listen to
I forgot the artists game but there is a song named empire that is very good.

you mispelled Com Truise.
He is the biggest one trick pony in a genre consisting of almost nothing but one tricky ponies. Perturbator is better desu

Perturbator - Angel Dust
You know I was in the same boat, then I started listening to traditional european music. Now my love for that people and their culture reached a whole new level. How do I get #COLONIZED?
Also would it be possible to mix both syntwave and something like this? Lastly, I need good reccs on music powered games. Audiosurf 2 is garbo and Drift Racer ain't that good either.
Oh man I love Synthwave too
Lucy in Disguise is worth checking out:
... and A. L. I. S. O. N.
Furi is really good. It's a boss-fight only game that's a mixture of bullet hell and swordfighting. The bosses all have tons of character, their own unique fighting styles, and many phases of varying difficulty. The gameplay is really smooth and satisfying, and the story is kind of in the background but it's pretty interesting. On top of this, there's an awesome synthwave soundtrack with tracks by Carpenter Brut, Danger, Waveshaper, and some others on there. It's a great game, try it sometime.

>see Perturbator and GoST live
>GoST is crazy into it, and Perturbator has gone from a brooding edgelord to a total hype man since the last time I saw him
>crowd is stiffer than a pile of corpses
I DON'T UNDERSTAND THESE FUCKING PEOPLE
>popularity turned the whole thing into a meme instead of bringing good content
Not my favorite but I recently discovered Pengus.

It's not the strongest in the beat 'em up genre, but I still recommend it. As others have already suggested, Furi and Valhalla are great too.
New Retro Wave wanted to promote their own people , big names turned to other genres and right now the scene is filled with nu-age/hippy nobodies trying to ride the wave.
Last good album I have heard is Horse Blood by Judge Bitch .
what makes it so good tho?
>saw Makeup and Vanity Set live
>motherfucker brings his own strobe lights that crank shit up to 11
>was a really chill dude too and kept the crowd engaged when he had to stop for technical difficulties

This shit was fucking crazy live.
Any chillwave recommendations? Or something completely different but nice, like:

Judge me.
Yeah, but there are some others featured that are also pretty good, like Waveshapet
who The Midnight here
vampires is such a good song, love the sax
I like Vampires (I'm a sucker for saxophone) and the Equalizer
good taste
try slipstream its an outrun like game, its mindless fun with decent soundtrack its cheap too.
I really enjoy them, but I feel like their songs are a little too samey. When I'm listening to like a playlist of them everything just kind of blends together after the first song or two. I gotta mix them in with other artists.
Nightcall is the only correct answer, anyone who says otherwise is being contrarian.
Nightcall gets boring after like two listens.
>Can't beat the old time man (3rd boss?)
>Game only gets worse after that
Proceeded to refund and hide from that game.
Not this version
youtube.com
Agreed on the sax, but Sunset really grew on me.
youtube.com
I quite like this one
>Game only gets worse after that
no, the hardest for me was the old man too, I even dropped the game at some point, then came back later and beat him but the others aren't that hard
whats the difference between synthwave, chillwave and vaporwave
synth is more synth, chill is for chilling and vaporwave is more like vapor
sounds good to me
Vaporwave also uses fucktons of samples from other music and sometimes has this weird quality that reminds me of hearing music in your dreams. It's odd and hard to describe
When I saw Perturbator open for John Carpenter, everyone was into it, but it was a seated venue. Almost everyone knew the line from Terminator, which made Humans Are Such Easy Prey even more amazing.

could do without the edgy terminator quote in the beginning though

>see gost and carpenter brut live
>gost is basically just playing his music on a media player while headbanging wearing like some kind of creepy veil
>cb actually improvised a few bits just like the last time I saw him
best synthshit live I've ever seen live was the midnight though
>mfw going to perturbator next month
Neon Indian is technically Chillwave but they're still one of my favorite bands youtube.com
GoST did the veil shit for the new album earlier this year and it was totally lame because it's obvious he can't see as well with it on. A few months ago he ditched it and was back to raving around on stage with his guitarist. Wayyy better performance wise.
Have fun at Perturbator. When I first saw him two/three years ago he was literally just standing at the synth with his hoodie up, sorta nodding along. Last month or so he was fucking climbing his massive synth deck and calling for the audience to get into, headbanging all the while. 10/10 set too, Corrupted by Design live is fucking insane when you're right up next to the stage.
Craziest show was probably Carpenter Brut just because of how intense the crowd got when they dropped She's A Maniac for the encore. Hatsune Miku live still has the best crowd energy I've ever seen though.
>would it be possible to mix synthwave and traditional music
I don't know about synthwave specifically since it's so heavily derived from 80s synth sounds, but you could try the band Beats Antique. They mix late '00s, early '10s synths and bass with traditional stuff from the Balkans and middle east.
>gets worse after that
It doesn't though, every boss after the Line (except for maybe the Scale, the sewer mech) are top quality, especially the Hand, the Burst, and the Edge
at least he's smiling
>TIGER SKYWAVE - CEREBRAL DRIVE

Who's the hunk in the pic?
That's fucking Perturbator. He's hot now.
>thumbnail is a 280z
Love that car, my dad used to own one.
what is that game and is it in English?
That cute twink turned into a goddamn hunk? Why do I feel angry?
we're all gonna make it
It's from porn game, no translation of it.
>not feeling MOTIVATED
He still looks like a dork, but he's just a really hot dork now. If anything it just means you can improve too. That said, I'm mad jealous of his hair though.
What are the best channels to listen to this shit? I only have newretrowave and some other stuff but there's probably THE channel and I don't know about it
the 80s dude
synthwave channel on Digitally Imported
Motivation ain't gonna land me a hunk like that on my lap.
