I dont hate them just I dont think Mario Kart will move beyond Mario and its subsidiaries and the occasional in house DLC crossover racer. All of the mso far have been nintendo in house so I dunno if HAL ones like Kirby are eligible.

Just pull an "Everyone is here!" and bring back all the cut characters.
K. Rool, Kamek, Pauline, and Captain Syrup would also be nice. I'd love if we could get some of the RPG characters as well.

Why doesn't Smash develop a racing mini-game? It would give players more multiplayer options and give more for the third party characters within the same game maximizing their license?

Nintendo probably doesn't want to potentially cut into their own kart racer sales, it'd just be wasted effort.

Because Smash isn't a racer and not every damn Mario spin-off needs to be retooled into a Smash crossover.

Id prefer it not have any more DLC crossover Roster but keep the ones we have. Though I do wish splatoon had a track over just a battle arena even if the latter makes sense with their game origins.
Character wise I want Kamek, Pauling, K. Rool, Ashley, Mona, Lubba, The Broodals and their mom, Paratroopa back, Toad and Toadette to get captain uniform alts like a few characters have, and Birdo and Funky Back. They dont all have to be base roster though.

What if they upped the races to 16 for the amount of characters they have now? But have the option for 8 or 12 as well when doing custom vs races.
