Gameplay was fine, controls were just tricky. But mainly the story was complete garbage.

I would conform with just a PC release honestly. I loved it and I wouldn't mind playing it from time to time but I don't have a PS3 (or a PS4 for that matter).

Because it's shit fanservice and if you enjoyed Psycho Mantis coming back just to repeat MGS1 lines you're a smooth-brained fuck who will forget that the game design/story/characters sucked ass for the entire game because "OMG Big Boss came back and I know who that is!"

V is unironically a better game solely for the fact that it doesn't give up on being a fun stealth game after the first five hours. 4 has chapter 1 and 2 where you sneak and you're done. Enjoy your shit tailing mission/rehash of MGS3's motorcycle chase. Oh boy Shadow Moses, I can clap for that too! Oh it's full of robots you can't engage with nearly as much as human guards? Better tell everyone how 10/10 this section was because I've been here before and that overrules the fact that it's a fucking unfun slog to play through until the boss fight. An actual boss fight, not the shit B and B's with the same backstory you find out after you've killed them, literally the only way you could give less of a fuck about them.

Then back to sneaking...for two rooms in Ch.5 until you get a gimmicky puzzle boss and Psycho Mantis is summoned to run back his arc in MGS1. Last boss is kino tho.

I know I'm going to get "lol didn't read faggot" or "stopped at V is a good game" but golly gee MGS4 triggers the hell out of me.

My only reason for it is that PW has solid characterization, that's the one thing the game did decently. Big Boss and his interactions with the people you meet in that story was a breath of fresh air.

GZ is Good, but it isn't that good. The intro is fantastic but despite the cool rain and all, I don't actually feel like Camp Omega is that memorable, it feels like any boring military base, there's really nothing memorable about it.

Don't get me wrong, PW's story is shit, and the segmented made-for-portable gameplay is not great, but I still prefer it to V literally on account of how it at least does character encounters well. Like Boss meeting Amanda, Chico, Cecile, Huey, MGSV had none of that.

Disc rot is a myth, I live in a humid shithole and have never once had it occur. And PS3 emulation has made leaps and bounds over recent years, to the point that I played all of Skate 3 on RPCS3 recently.

They patched the game like a million years ago that lets you install the entire game.

Because of the Cell Processor, it's actually more powerful than conventional CPU found in PC and PS4, that's the only way Octocamo is possible. Basically MGS4 and PS3 are linked together forever, there's no getting around it. And the fact that people still want MGS4 ported means it was a success

Based. MGO was and still is the most unique multiplayer I've played. If they ever announce a remaster of MGO2 (not likely) I'll be all over that shit

Mgs4 was brilliant while playing but when I reflect on the game I like it less and less. I find it extremely hard to replay the game too. On a remaster of the ps2 games, one can only hope that the ps5 controller has pressure sensitive buttons because a remaster for the ds4 would be complete shit.

To be honest, the cybernetic enhancements kind of add to that prettyboy aesthetic. And those heels too, damn. Wish we got a backstory for the enhancements in Revengeance, but what we got instead is pretty good, too.
