Not the one originally recommending it, but:
Pathologic can be remakably comfy, just like The Void was on occasions. It's true that it's a damn bleak game and when it gets dark it is REALLY dark and stressfull. But the whole point of something being "comfy" has always been primarily the CONTRAST being discomfort and comfort.
99% of the "comfy" pictures will feature rain, or snow, or darkness or inhostile environment juxaposed with something that represents warmth, clutter that represents habitability, usually in confined spaces.
It is precisely the sharp contrast between the hospitability and inhospitability that 99% of the so called "comfy" images and games actually rely on. And IPL has always had this nailed to a point: Pathologic 2 being so far probably the best example of this technique.

So while it definitely isn't the first game I'd personally recommend as "comfy" due the sheer fact that mechanically it's for the most part very stressful and often straight up horrifying: it's true that when it gets comfy, it get's REALLY comfy. Like, there is barely any comparison: perhaps on The Void (by the same developers) can rival those moments.

The first Silent Hill is the GOAT for this. Parasite Eve as well.

Hrm, I'd actually swap those. Parasite Eve is really cozy with the Christmas setting, the snow, and all.
