No. Only D3 and PoE are always online. Those are MMOs with servers. Games like Chaosbane, Grim Dawn and Titan Quest are singleplayer games with peer-to-peer online co-op options.

If they're trying to appeal to warhammer fans they should do so in a way that's fresh. Chaos, khorne and nurgle have been done to death. Doesn't even look like they've put much effort into making more interesting beastmen units.
They've alluded to tomb kings expansion but they'll likely be dead in the water by the time that's due.
Martyr at least made a shitload of sales because it was the first, chaosbane is gonna hurt from players being burned by martyr.

I can't imagine that this is going to be played by a lot of people, let alone that they come up with good addons in the future.
