I got annoyed with how little reaction enemies had to hammer/axe outside of the charged attack so I mostly ended up with a mix of magic and the lighter swords.

Manually putting stats into your character wouldn't work with the system they have right now. I think the idea is they want you to change classes around as you see fit.

No, I think the stats auto change based on the class you want.
So you don't need to play x class to level 30 just to get the stat you need.

You can't unequip. Once you equip something the first time you can juggle your weapons but not remove them. Also never mind, weight isn't tied to how much stuff you have equipped but to the current weapon you're using so this isn't a problem.

It's fun but very stiff. Like Monster Hunter in terms of combat. You have to commit to attacks and once an attack has been started you can't rotate your character to correct your attacks trajectory or do pretty much anything until the attack is finished. There's also not much tracking so if you use an attack with a wind up and the enemy moves while you're preparing to attack you'll likely miss. The game relies on you using your gifts to make things easier. I suggest you invest in Barbarian if only for Iron Will which helps a lot.

When you get invaded in the depths, do the enemies ever stop spawning? I've killed like six waves by standing at their aggro leash and cheesing them with the thorn cloak. I can't even go grab the big pile of item drops that's accumulating because they just keep coming.

you wear what you picked in the creation mode but you wear a jacket on your shoulders a la kill la kill and that's what levels up. it's only one piece of equipment but everything revolves around it including equip load. Not sure if you can visually turn it off

i never signed up for the test, kinda regret it now so i actually just did, but its prolly too late. but its good to know that its in the game. besides ive always been a dexfag so only using smaller weapons is what i was probably goning to do might give the guns a try tho.

why does swinging a hammer, even at the ground, feel like absolute cheap shit compared to say, swinging the kirkhammer?
