What is this?

Witcher come to life

Attached: wite.jpg (600x476, 49K)

It's going to be shit isn't it

yeah. it was very obvious when they showed off geralt's wig.

it gets like that when it's cold. you wouldn't understand, roastie.

An army of ape nutsacks?

Just from the one look at a single armor design in the show, you can tell it's going to be awful.

Let's start with the armour's aesthetic. There can only be several reasons why it was chosen the way it was.
If the design was chosen to contrast the Nilfgaardian as "the bad guys" by having the armour be dark and warped, then that goes against the narrative themes in Witcher and the anti-hero, Wolverine-tier character that Geralt is. If they miss that mark, then the rest of the series will too narratively.

If they made the suits "just because lol" for the sake of being different, then they have left out the practicality and coldness of the novel and game's worlds that comes from the efficiency of the armour and weaponry of the setting, thus also missing the mark of the story and diminishing the gritty realistic tone of the series.

And if the armour was made as some postmodern commentary on male power being the root of evil in the narrative given the phallic visuals of the helmet and crinkled ballsack-like plates of the armour, then the series is infested with more typical nepotism on behalf of the writing team letting in the wrong people to prove a point to an establishment, rather than doing the series justice in any form, placing their ideals above the narrative's.

>goes against the narrative themes in Witcher and the anti-hero, Wolverine-tier character that Geralt is.
What? Throughout the books Geralt doesn't really do anything that can be considered overly edgy at all

>"Looks fine, well just clean it up in post-production!"

Come on user, no one has even played Witcher 1 and 2 let alone read the books.

Where is this clip from? I don't see how this could be the Netflix show. There are no cameras anywhere, and everyone on camera is in that shitty costume -- no crew, choreographers, what have you. This is just nerdy LARPers in the woods.

>Nobody can print out Nilfgaardian symbols but a professional television crew
>Nobody has ever wanted to LARP Witcher

This is the live action witcher Netflix show isnt it.

or they just have no budget and they have a shit costume designer. Hanlon's razor and all that.

Firstly. The TV show doesn't have access to the copyright to the video game armour. Secondly, even if they did (ie; CDPR gave it to them for free) it wouldn't be allowed as the author is a bitter old alcoholic who hates video games and wouldn't allow it. Thirdly, it's based on the books and has nothing to do with the games. Any designs, characters and what have you will be based on the books NOT the game.

Therefore, all you retards thinking it'll have the designs of the game are retarded. The author is the consultant for the show and he hates the video games and the fans of the video games so much. I would be willing to bet he'd purposefully greenlight shit like this (assuming it's legit because it could simply be LARPers) to piss off the video game fans. Also, yes, he is OK with black people in it. He's incredibly left wing. He's been paid already, he doesn't care if the show is shit. The last two Polish made Witcher series were dogshit too.

yikes

You think people want to larp as a poorly dressed Nilfgaardian soldiers doing scene choregraphy instead of the Witchers themselves.

look up nilfgardian larpers and i gaurantee they will look better than the shitflix costumes

was there ever any doubt?

fuck is this?

>Costume designer having any real say

It boiled down to this.
>Hey, make this
>Why not traditional armour?
>What?
>If it's cost you're worried about, we can hire out some stuff and-
>We want this
>Okay, sure

Well, her character is from an Empire with the nickname 'The Black Ones', user...

WE WUZ POLISH AND SHIT

It's getting harder and harder to keep telling myself that they'll fix all this in post-production.

its not shit its netflix

In regards to their armor, not their skins.

>This is just a beta, it's fine. They still have three months

why would you willingly consume kike propaganda?

We called the Russians Reds during the cold war but they weren't fucking god damn reservation niggers.

cdpr copyrighted plate armor? well now I know why bannerlord is getting delayed
they must have copyright issues

That's just too accurate...

I don't get it. How the fuck could they screw up simple medieval armor? Did they try to do some kind of stylized armor, like pic related?

Attached: B.S-Dracula_89.jpg (1600x896, 112K)

They fucked up the swords too. Jesus Christ

its like what you would get if you asked a 4 year old to draw an armored man

it looks like it's going to be the kind of romanian telemovie you could be watching on syfy 10 years ago

>all of the show runners are feminist women or allies
>the armor of the bad soldiers are made to look like penises

Maybe these are set costumes and their planning on CGI'ing actual armor?

Is that Colin Mochrie?

The one on the last panel is an actual girl, in all fairness. The dad's dissapointment is still real, though.
