It’s my personal favorite job, Dark Arts and all. Blackest Night is so damn satisfying as a revenge ability. It’s a big fuck you to tank buster attacks and it can be thrown on to teammates who are targeted by unavoidable attacks. You get a free super move out of it, it’s great. In Shadowbringers, they’re gonna have a Straight Shot style mechanic and they’re losing a ton of MP management. As long as Blackest Night is still good, then I’ll be fine.

They did however leave out the vast superiority of GNB in the AoE department thanks to their combo refilling a cartridge, allowing them to basically 1-2-3 AoE combo, and the cooldown/potency of Blasting Zone being still about on par with the other tanks' AoE nukes on top of that.

It gets better when you get Spineshatter Dive and can weave more than one jump into your skills. DRG takes until about 40-50 to really get going, Lancer's probably one of the more painful classes to level.

Xiv is the worst managed game on the market. Literally one fucking server for all of north america because no one at square understands that even though the game "can be played" at 120ms, it still feels significantly worse. As a tank main I love the changes to healers, personally. I've died far too many times in even dungeons just because even with cooldowns popped, I'm just literally not getting healed because some sperg keeps trying to play DPS.

SCH lost Miasma, Energy Drain, Bane, Miasma II, Shadow Flare, and a lot of its ability to micro the fairy well. It now only has a DoT spell, a nuke spell, and an AoE spell.

AST had all of it's cards changed into a nerfed version of Balance that you put on either the melee DPS or the ranged DPS. It still only has a DoT spell, a nuke spell, and an AoE spell.

Basically they nerfed / reworked both to be extremely simple. Both will still be objectively better than WHM, so viability isn't a concern. Just the fun factor.

I don't normally play healer but this reminds me of the last time I did. It was bardam's mettle and at one point I was firing away with my DPS skill and the last enemy of a pull was almost dead so I just kept firing away abd accidentally let the tank die. Was pretty funny.

That's a shame, I liked using some of the cards effects for making BLM cast faster, giving MP to the other healers/myself, and SCH sounds dull with neutered DoT management/fairy control. Do they still have abilities or are they on your GCD now?

I always try and ride the line with AoE spam and Healing on my AST. You really don't get the feel for how much punishment your tank will take after the first pull, which is normally the one that fucks up the fastest.

Brown eyes are absolutely disgusting. They are awful no matter what your face looks like and I would never ever wish them upon even my worst enemy.

Pet abilities are still off GCD but can no longer be used while casting. They were turned into their own abilities and the pet bar was removed.

Miasma 2 was replaced with Art of War. Eos is basically on perma-obey now and only uses anything besides Embrace when commanded to. You can still movement command her as before.

WHM still has no raid buffs and SCH is potentially better at "pure healing" now with some of the ridiculous buffs they got to their aether abilities.

WHM may actually end up being in an even worse position than it was previously. It will potentially not even be arguably better for prog at this point.

Living Dead is surprisingly good for massive pulls just for how fucking long it keeps you alive, sometimes you can hold on juuust long enough to complete it and it feels chad as fuck
