So, I work at my local city hall as the mail clerk. It's a decent job with good benefits. I run the mail to all the city facilities and all the different departments in city hall. Today, I had to give a package to the mayor himself, so I went into his office to give it to him. And as I approached his desk, I glanced at his computer screen and saw that he was playing Fortnite at work. He alt-tabbed out of it real quick once he noticed me approaching, but I saw it long enough to know he was playing fucking Fortnite. I don't care if you're a grown ass man in your 50's still playing Fortnite, but you'd think the actual mayor of a city would have better things to do around 10 am on a workday.

You would be horribly wrong. I was personal assistant to the mayor of flagstaff for a while, his time was absolutely worthless. He had maybe three meetings a week which lasted 2 hours each, the rest of the time he was watching TV, he'd refuse to meet citizens and staffers just to watch his shows.

I did. But the game rewards hiding and farming for 10 minutes until the top ten. I got plenty of wins that way and eventually realized spending 10-20 minutes just RNG looting before having a single shootout where you have a heavy advantage if you surprise someone just wasn't fun.

That and the building means you can't really compete even if you're a much better shot than someone. And that, in an FPS, is retarded. But I'd be willing to learn if the first point wasn't true. You can just go to the end of the map, loot like a bitch, get all legendaries and healing shit, and slowly sneak around and kill the last few people in the circle, because you're full of ammo/mats/healing. That's not fun, and you always notice the people who do that. They'll always have multiple legendaries in their inventory and be full health and shields. Add that to the fact that there's no real rewards system for winning games beyond XP (which is useless) and I have zero interest in playing.

Still a much better game than Apex or god forbid, PUBG.
Except the only people that put sexy shit in games nowadays is Japan, and they love flat asses.
Meanwhile, every game will have some fapbait character that has her cleavage all over the screen for at least an entire cutscene.

I played for around a month very early on and it wasn't that bad mostly because building hadn't been perfected yet. The game just seems retarded to play now, almost every final circle endgame battle is a ramp spam clusterfuck where both players spend more time maneuvering around a maze tower of planks than they do actually shooting each other.

I love how often fortnite updates and that they seem to genuinely care about their events and world building, but I just cannot stand the turbo building. It's just so fucking tiring catching someone from behind, getting a shot in and suddenly they're in a reinforced fortress

Not even that, it needs to be a cooldown before you can replace a wall that's destroyed. That would fix nearly every issue I have, because as is if osmeone has the mats they can hold down build and you'll never hit a single bullet on them. That needs to change, there needs to be a short startup time on building or a cd when something's destroyed before it can be replaced.

Yeah building is broken but streamers & zoomies who've practices 900 hours to macro wall's in a millisecond have too much of an influence to make it less OP. I really miss when people built minimally during season 1 - 3

That was how building worked in early alphas of STW (like, 2014 we're talking), it built the walls "brick by brick" each part of the 3x3 filling in individually. Rapidly, but I guess it wasn't what they wanted.

its still fairly easy to ambush people if you are aware of how the game works, sneak up just out footstep sound range or atleast close enough that your weapon bloom is decent. try to get a first shot dink on their head and keep lazering upper/midbody. this will kill most bots and atleast half health decent players. also most people have huge tunnel vision if they are fighting someone so you can often just roll up and shotgun them in a 3rd party situation
