I'm kinda with you on this. Almost every damn fighting series/recent fighting game release is on the list. Would have been more interesting if it were top 10.
UNIB, Melty Blood, Arcana Heart, and I guess Yatagarasu are the only no mentions. Should have just gone with KI3 too instead of nostalgia picking KI1.

Probably due to the fact that since they heavily talked about MK11 in their latest issue, they decided to dedicate a good chunk of the issue to fighting games, so to fill up space, they went around the office and asked people what they're favorite fighting games were so they could write about it.

If I was going to count a Smash, I'd go with Ultimate. Melee never had any dramatic effect on me and I dropped it after getting all the Events and trophy collecting done.

Starts even with title of using III despite the release that would use a number having 3, along with saying series owed to another series that was in development in same timeframe and came out later, and missing a lot of the mechanics that made the game distinct.

Ranking is pretty pointless, especially for a genre for a lot of what you get out of it depends on who you play with. Should have done something like monthly articles about a given series where they talk about the mechanics and evolution, add an interview with someone involved.

Alpha 2 is an unfinished broken mess of a game (even more so than A3) the game is full of infinities broken hit boxes bugs that cause the game to crash or become unplayable, probably the worst balance of any SF game, slow down and frame dropping on various stages and a slew of other problems.

BBCF being that low is a crime. Even if you hate anime or sprites it's a fighting game with 40 characters with decent balance and solid gameplay, an amazing challenge mode, and a great arcade mode if you care about that shit.
