Because they generally suck. Sex scenes tend to drag on when you have to load the text line by line, the CGs are usually mediocre, the stories that get shoehorned in make the experience even more tedious, and the only saving grace is that the music is sometimes alright. Otherwise you're better off just reading an H-manga.
