Don't remember the last game, but I remember renting the fuck out of FF8.

crysis 2

Probably Oblivion, I rented it for a fucking long time and it prompted me to learn about no-cd cracks.
That was a nice day.

super mario all stars

Breath of Fire 3

Metroid Fusion

Shadow the hedgehog

pokemon stadium 2 with the transfer pack

Mortal Kombat Armageddon I think

I'm an oldfag and actually worked at one.
Had to tell some kid's mom not to let him rent GTA3 because of the ESRB rating. He was like 11.
Sorry little bro, hope you got to play it anyway.

COD MW3 back in 2011

So bad
>Play on first day
>Don't touch it again
>Return it a week later

Kirby Tilt N Tumble, shit was so cash I rented it a second time.

No More Heroes

tony hawk american wasteland i think

Medal of honor 2 for ps3 i think.
2013?

The Syndicate I think.

Pretty sure it was this

Attached: 61D1993V9GL.jpg (500x500, 71K)

Splinter Cell Conviction. Played it co-op with a buddy over the weekend and it was alright.

Right before it closed down, you could rent 3DO consoles which seemed pretty revolutionary at the time. Remember many hours spent playing through Wing Commander and Road Rash.

Attached: super-wing-commander-3do.png (320x240, 74K)

One of the Killzone games. Can't remember which tho

This. I remember because a few days later I heard they were going out of business so I just didn't return it. Still have it.

Attached: 220px-Culdcept_Saga.jpg (220x313, 32K)

Xmen Legends 2 I think

from blockbuster specifically, it was probably pic related
from any brick and mortar store, it was Dead Space for 360 from a gamecrazy
the last game I rented at all was Skyrim for 360 from a redbox

Attached: Conkerspockettalesboxart.jpg (318x313, 28K)

Lost Odyssey

The Simpsons Hit and Run.

Rayman Origins, and it turned out to be one of my favorite games I've ever played. Top 10 material. Thanks Blockbuster.
youtube.com/watch?v=aN7A50fFCOM

WarioWare Smooth Moves

Final Fantasy IX. Had just got to the outer continent when it had to go back, just as the whole game was taking a new turn and opening up... would be a year before I got to continue it. Growing up poor had some real fucking downers.

Nice memory now though.

Demon's Souls. I didn't get very far though. If I owned the game and had the time to properly figure out what I'm doing I probably would've become a big fan of souls games.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Boom Blox

unironically black ops 4

It was some third person shooter on the n64 where you play as a bee or something.

I rented the resident evil 2 remake from a redbox not too long ago, but from blockbuster? I think I rented Madden 06 just to try it out one time. Before that, it was a ps1 system with Hercules, kek. But my dad technically rented that. My mom never let me rent games. She always thought it was a waste of money. She’s rent a movie like every Friday though, the bitch. I still love her.

reminder that "buying" games on steam is renting

>rent game
>never return it
>store shuts down
fuckin lol

From Blockbuster? I never really went there as a kid. We had a bunch of Family Video's and Hollywood Video's instead. We still have a bunch of them here in Michigan. Video game rentals is probably keeping them alive. It's not like their movie selection appeals to autistic film snobs.

A Bug's Life on PS1.

I never rented again, I preferred going to this tiny independent pre-owned electronics/games store instead.

If you mean Blockbuster - GRAW 1. I almost always went to Movie Gallery instead, but Blockbuster was the only chain to carry 360 games in the first few months after launch.

If in general - Bayonetta 1, probably? Or if Redbox counts, Beyond: Two Souls.

Sonic Adventure Battle 2

We had hollywood video in my neighborhood

Last game I ever rented was klonoa 2

>tfw still have some lord of the rings VHS tapes that I never returned
fuck you blockbuster!

KH2. Game was way too long It took me two rentals to get to the end and I still didn't finish it. I got stuck at the final boss and had to return it.

I still have TMNT secret of the ooze. That late fee would probably be more than my college tuition

Super Monkey Ball.

>redbox isn't a thing

I use to rent Pokemon Stadium 2 all the time from Blockbuster. We had a flick video in my small ass town that had better deals so I'd go there a lot more. Last thing I rented was .hack//part 4. When they ended up going out of business I got it from them for like $10.

not all of us live in the projects

Only rented up to N64, so Mario Tennis if I had to guess. Also bought a copy of Pokemon Puzzle League for almost nothing when it closed.

I broke my GTA 4 disc from playing too much, it was scratched the fuck up. So I went there rented it and replaced my shitty copy with their new one. No one ever found out.

Some shitty Mahvel brawler for the Game Cube. Rise of the Imperfects I think it was called.

Spyro the Dragon I believe. We never rented much, if I wanted a game my parents would just go out and buy it or they'd buy the Playstation with demo disc with the game on to see if I liked it first, then they'd go buy it.

I never did. I am brazillian am we had hacked ps2s and pirated games even before the ps2 was officially launched around here

Attached: 1552477701821.jpg (500x682, 89K)

KH1 was the last game I can remember off the top of my head. There may have been others, but if so I cannot remember them.

My friend gave me that game for the Wii because we had just played through Ultimate Spider-Man together and had a blast. One round of the shitty waggle webbing mechanics and he apologized and said he'd go exchange it for something else. Can't remember what the other game was but it hardly could have been worse

I honestly can't remember, but it would have been an N64 game. Perhaps it was Pokemon Snap.

Super paper Mario. Only game I ever rented too

Ha, I had the same version - I had rented it for 360 and thought it was ok (hindsight it's pretty subpar), so I thought the Wii version would be more fun with the motion controls. Godawful version of the game - looks and plays like shit even compared to the other versions. I distinctly remember the Wal-Mart employee who unlocked the case practically begging me to get something else (I remember him recommending The Darkness), I should've listened.

Dead to rights 2

Attached: Dead-to-Rights-2-Hell-to-Pay_f1.jpg (326x326, 45K)

The last game i bought on Steam.

bubsy the bobcat for the snes
I still have the plastic box the games came with that you had to drop into the box, we never returned it.

Attached: 1538250013526.png (210x240, 106K)

Punch-Out for Wii is the last thing I can remember renting from Blockbuster.
I used Gamefly for the next gen and the last games I remember renting were Dark Souls and Sonic Generations.
Then I never rented again until Redbox and rented Spider-Man for PS4 and almost 100% it before my 3 days were up.

Attached: tip.gif (380x285, 1.64M)

not blockbuster, but another video store
i believe it was sf2 for snes

Viewtiful Joe for the GCN back in 2005 I think, fantastic game, maybe I will grab it on eBay on these days

It had to be an N64 game. Maybe it was a Mario Party game. I know the last thing I ended up renting was an expansion pak so I could play my copy of Majora's Mask. They never got that expansion pak back.

>Blockbuster:
Bulletstorm

>Rental (in general)
God of War 2018

is gamefly actually any good?

Not sure but I rented this game so many times that it was probably this

Attached: mario party 3 box.jpg (500x348, 61K)

I didnt have a blockbuster near me but some other chain that went out of business, I think west coast video, I rents FMA on PS2 it was bad but I had fun.

Probably Kane and Lynch
For Family Video: Sonic Mania
Chrono Cross was my favorite rent then buy when I was younger.

never rented but bought sonic colors on the same year it was released

i rented blood fresh supply from GOG a few weeks ago

Not really.
I never got the games I wanted to play.
You used to make a list of your 10 top wanted games to rent and they would send whatever they had in stock from the highest wanted on your list.
I'd always end up with the games I really didn't wanna play at rank 10 on my list.
I'm not sure if the business model is still the same but I stopped when I could never get the games I really wanted to play.

Blast Corps

Fallout 3 in 2009.

i believe it was that soft reboot onimusha dawn of dreams or whatever it was called

fucking hated that game

Fusion Frenzy

Dead or Alive on the XBox 360. I don't remember which one it was, but it had Master Chief in it.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West on PS3

ratchet and clank going commando

>Master Chief
Lol no.
That was another Spartan named Nicole.

Some game called Magic Pengel for the PS2. You could draw little creatures and fight them or something. I was obsessed.

Dook Nookem 64

Think it was this one
Not sure though

Alien versus predator: extinction

It was nothing. My mother, in the process of her divorce, started having a fucking meltdown in the middle of the store, accusing the store employees of being paid off by my father to block her from renting anything. In reality we owed some fees for overdue movies. I quietly paid the poor teenager to 0 out our balance and left immediately, I was so embarrassed.

Onimusha 3. good game
>hating the best Onimusha
Why?

Attached: demon-siege.jpg (300x201, 28K)

Duke Nukem Forever was the second to last game that I rented from Blockbuster. I put it into my Xbox 360 on the day the game launched and a terrible sound came out of the Xbox that sounded like it was eating the disc. After a few attempts to get it to recognize the disc, my Xbox 360 red ringed.
I was completely baffled and upset that my Xbox 360 that I had only had for a year and a half busted from the game. I took the game out and it was completely destroyed, the middle of the disc was completely chipped and looked like a set of razor sharp teeth. I then put in a different game to see if that would work and it did. No issue whatsoever. My Xbox 360 never did that again and to this day still works like a charm.

Last game I actually rented from Blockbuster was Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. The girl at the counter tried to sucker my Dad into becoming some sort of Premium Blockbuster Member that cost $100 a year but you got to keep each rental for a month or something. He didn't buy it and six months later, Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy and the store had a liquidation sale. Then they backed out of the bankruptcy and the Blockbuster stayed open. Then they declared bankruptcy again a year later and they had another liquidation sale. Then I think Dish Network bought some Blockbuster services and they backed out of the bankruptcy AGAIN and the store stayed open. Blockbuster finally died six months later and there was not a third liquidation sale.

That Blockbuster is now a paint store.

Rented this bad boy half a dozen times to complete it fully.

Manhunt on playstation 2. I think, didn't really rent games too often.

Though years later a friend worked at one and stole unreal tournament 3 on the 360(really underrated game at the time) for me. He stole so much shit from the place it was amazing no one noticed.

Attached: ps2_manhunt-110214.jpg (640x908, 87K)

powerstone 2

I can't believe anyone actually rented this garbage. Even as a kid I could tell just by the box that this game was a turd

Ex blockbuster employee here. Job was shit in the later years but I miss it

infamous 2. i remember they fucked up when putting the disc in the case and put a copy of infamous 1 in. luckily i opened the case before we left and went back. that was a good summer, i jacked off so much to milf porn

Attached: 02.jpg (496x793, 100K)

Wanted: Weapons of Fate. Fucking hell that game had no right to be as good as it was

I bought this at a local game shop thinking it would be like zelda.

Easily the shittest game I've ever played

Jet Force Gemini. I had a pretty bad cold so while my family was out, I played it all weekend.

Good game. I stole a used copy from Gamestop

The second //hack game, though it wasn't from Blockbuster. I'm sure I rented stuff after that, though.

>Quest 64 is a turd
Nigga those are fighting words, you say that shit around here you're gonna get shot
pic related is another masterpiece

Attached: best art.jpg (259x194, 8K)

Bayonetta same

My decision to rent Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon over Quest 64 is probably the best decision I've ever made.

Can't remember the game but I do remember having to walk a couple blocks to get there and rent it. Must've been some disappointing game for the ps3.
