Can somebody explain the hype behind AoS to me? The game plays almost as heavy as CoTM and the soundtrack isn't exactly among the best. One thing I like about it is that the Saverooms are very well spaced, so deaths while traversing the castle aren't uncommon, but that's about it. Is it because of the Soul farming?

Okay you got me i never played it. I played aria and Dawn of Sorrow and tried SotN, but didn't enjoy it.
All I want from these games is the map exploration and shit loads of soul weapons/abilities and weapons as a whole, none of the rest seem to deliver in the same way as the Sorrow games

I lost a crissaegrim in SotN to this.

I never got it back without cheating.

It's a big regret.

I have played all relevant castlevanias
on emulators and I can attest that HoD is outclassed only by SoTN and OoE.
It sounds just fine if you emulate, as I've posted above. HoD is certainly superior to AoS as far as soundtracks go.

I wish there is an actual way to drop your subweapon. The Item Crash using no subweapon is quite strong, but once you got a sub weapon, you cannot access it anymore.

You thought the candles are bad enough, the last 2 are in the Arena, where you can't normally use DSS cards. it was hell to get them.
