Kingdom Hearts 2 critical mode

>It's fun guys
>it's the only way to play
>it's fair
>lv1 runs are possible.
Getting one shot by offscreen is very fair.how is this different than kingdom hearts 3

git gud zoom zoom

Are the org 13 fights any good in lvl 99 critical mode?
They're too easy on proud mode but too much of a pussy to do a lvl 1 run

Bro i beat the final boss blindfolded using sound alone, get fucking good it's a fucking Disney game for christ sakes. If we all had gamer cards, yours would be revoked

>Kringedom hearts
Nice meme faggot

>>it's the only way to play

this is the mentality of the KH2FM fanbase that annoys me.

git gud faget

Oh Yea Forums...

Did you do it with the abusing reflect or with sora's very useful guard that recovery frames don't take a week to recover.

I tink new concept for KH, so i make KH CoM

You hate KH CoM and tink it stupid, so i forrow KH1 and make KH2

but now you hate KH2, you say it too easy furoaty and press sankaku to win

so i make new handheld games with different gameplay

you hate those too, you rovu KH2 now, so i forrow KH2 and make KH3

Ooo but noo now you hate KH3, you say it too easy furoaty and press sankaku to win

WELL YOU DONTU KNOW WHATTU YOU RIKE! DATS WHY I PUT ZIPPU AND BELTS AND PURADDO EVERYWHERE, AT REAST I WIRR ALWAYS RIKE IT! (RAUGHS)

Critical is actually easier than Proud.

Reflect, just cause I had to cure periodically anyways, so it was safe to spam a few.

Can't with shit movement options

Doubt it

Yes it is. The reduced heath isn't enough to counteract the 25% increased damage, massive starting AP, and free abilities.

All that doesn't matter if the defensive options are terrible.

Do lvl 1 if you want to sour your opinion on this game like i did.

>what is Reflect
>what is Limit Form making you literally immortal as long as you don't enter MP Charge

You can get your ass kicked easily even at max lvl in Crit mode

Where is the guard that actually works

they're comparatively pretty easy at level 99, but maybe I'm biased since I flaked out of my level 1 run after roxas' fight so I had probably gotten gud by then

nah bitch the lack of once more and second chance make critical a bitch

KH3 is sadly what happens when you try to pander to a wider and casual audience

>what is Limit Form making you literally immortal as long as you don't enter MP Charge
This sounds really well balanced

>literally immortal
har har har har yeah right

Critical mode really is some bullshit despite what everyone says. I still think its the most fun way to play the game but I want say 40% of the enouncters in the game are un fun and bullshit on crit when you don't have levels or don't know what you are doing

Lvl 1 is even worse. Genie Jafar on level 1, you have one (1) possible way of doing that fight and its a dps race. It's fucking dumb

Yeah no I did a level 1 run once and thought it was cancer. Normally leveling up and reaching final boss by ~30 and bonus content by ~40 gave me the most enjoyment out of Critical.
You will still die quite easily if you don't know what you're doing. Some become a bit too easy (Marluxia goes from being able to OHKO you to super nonthreatening) while Xaldin, Larxene still require you to read their moves and adjust accordingly.

>have to buy the remake versions to play the highest difficulty
no way fag

regular crit is REALLY GOOD but level 1 is like, holy fuck, you learn by trial by fire that revenge values and desperation moves actually really fucking stupid design and you have to be a zen monk and play around your opponents' stupid shit.

protip to game devs: if your boss ever has a phase where they are inexplicably immune to damage, you fucked up.

I remember only having problems with Demyx though I already beaten vanilia game on standard and proud before, so I knew what I was doing. I liked Critical modes in 2 and BBS. They gave you more abilities from get-go and thanks to that allowed more fun

I strugled against some of them. Marluxia was easy, Xigbar was less forgiving. Axel was tearing me a new one each time I left ground. Xemnas fight was kinda bullshit.
Comparetively I had no problems with sephiroth on critical in kh1 as lv99.

>offscreen enemies
That's your own fault. You're rarely fighting more than 5 enemies at any given time. Unlike the massive swarms of 20 in KH3.
3 plays nothing like 2, it's fucking garbage.

So, what's the deal with Sora? He isn't the real chosen one, that's Riku, but for some reason he is the person with the strongest heart in the multiverse, and he was that special since birth.

The "just and ordinary and dull boy" sounds stupid now, he was never ordinary since his heart was so strong that Ven went to it at the beginning of BBS and after his fight with Vanitas.

you're supposed to know where the offscreen enemies are lol

Its a two way street of revenge value and DM's being something that potentially let you do cool things when you play the game a bunch of times over and over, but casually yes I've grown to dislike it as game design. I have no problem with a boss breaking out of combo and recovering themselves, but I dislike that every revenge value trigger is a counter attack instead of a return to neutral or something unique

How am i suppose respond to a solider oneshotting me midair when am at a one of the starting world with only guard as defense

you'll learn quickly that being in the air is dangerous before you have air dodge/glide
