I'm a DM/GX/5ds boomer, liked most of it, then tried to watch Arc V due to the massive shilling at the time but sadly it became a trainwreck.
I pretty much like most of what I saw related to the old series, some fillers arcs in DM were horrible but Doma was good, SoL arc in GX was shit but I like the mandatory brainwash arc this series have.
Nowaday I think YGO simply can't tell at least interesting stories anymore and that's a shame.

I think GX 4th season was a cheap move to take some time before the airing of 5ds due to technical stuff (many animes in late 2007/early 2008 were already HD and YGO was still 480p), but I can't bring myself to hate it.
Also it's the most well designed GX season, though there were improvements in the third already
