At the rate Epic Game Store is improving, how long until it surpasses Steam as the store of choice? EGS has improved more in the last 3 months than Steam has in the past 3 years.

>EGS has improved more in the last 3 months
list the improvements then
Offered so many based deals that publishers removed their games from the store and OPs pic devs inflated the price of their game
10 years before it's maybe on par with current Steam.
They spent over 2 years to start adding and standardized features all other game launchers already had at launch.
I hope it gets gabe off his fat ass. Holy fuck I hate valve so much.
Hades is leaving Epic once it leaves Early Access though.
It wont surpass Steam until it has a fucking shopping cart and proper sales systems
desu the "improvements" should have been there from the start.
they still don't have a shopping cart.
they also don't have controller profiles and you can't add games to the launcher.
still miles away.
>fucking shopping cart
Steam didn't have a shopping cart for years and years.
It's not really a issue unless you buy tons in one transaction, which people don't generally do outside of sales.
They sold games at cost to gain a foothold. I don't even think that's legal in the place I live.
If epic store is soooooooooooooo gud, why doesn't it just buy out Steam, aye??????
Just wait until the next PC gaming Show
Steam will be finished
>yeah but X didn't have it years ago too!
not a fucking argument
>EGS has improved more in the last 3 months than Steam has in the past 3 years.
So you are admitting that it is shit? after all, big improvements are only possible if you are awful...
>still no shopping cart
>Buying to many games locks your account
>Surpassing steam
kek
>Steam didn't have a shopping cart for years and years.
That's because Steam originally didn't actually launch as a store, just a client for Valve's online.
Once it started selling third party games in ~2005, it had a shopping cart.
Epic has no excuse regardless, even fucking Neill Breen's website has a shopping cart.
>It's not really a issue unless it is the time when you make most of your business
brilliant repartee.
More like
>X didn't have it years ago, X was more than fine and no-one complained about it, why should I hate Y?
Regional pricing also fucked over most western regions when it was introduced on Steam. Of course, now you have super-rich 3rd worlders demanding cheap games because they live in a poor country (even though they have a 1080Ti)
>regional pricing bad
That's because it was a client not a store during that time. How does Tim Sweeney's cock taste you utter retard?
>Once it started selling third party games in ~2005, it had a shopping cart.
That's not true, it was quite a bit after that. According to my purchase history, it was late 2008.
European pricing is still totally fucked.
>not learning from mistakes your rivals made years ago
into the fucking trash it goes
Is it weird that the actual chinese store we got in the west has more features than epic's store?
It just lacks games and English translations for most of its products.
Rojopilled
>EGS has improved more in the last 3 months
Yeah, if "locking users out of your illegitimate sale because you don't have a shopping cart" counts as improvement these days, then they've hit the nail on the head.
>That's not true, it was quite a bit after that.
No, it wasn't, when it first started selling third party games, Steam had a shopping cart.
>no search function
>no wishlist
more like
>i don't remember anyone complaining about it then, so that fits my confirmation bias, also times don't change and things don't get improved over time, so why should companies be held to the improved standard?
do you enjoy asbestos?
>At the rate Epic Game Store is improving
No reason to assume this rate will continue. Most likely it will slow down, since they're just adding basic ass things that other stores have had for a while.
>At the rate Epic Game Store is improving
> how long until it surpasses Steam as the store of choice?
6-7 years
>obvious, low-quality bait
>still get you's
gg OP
>Not one single Japanese game
Hard pass
they increased the amount of delays on everything
a shopping cart is currently more than 6 months away
>Epic Game Store is improving
Fuck off chink shill.
Good thing everyone rightfully took a fat shit on steam when it was actually at its worst. It wasn't worth anything except the DRM gate to Half-Life and Counter-Strike back then, and it's the same for the Fortnite Store now.
>shopping cart
>6 months away
just fucking how, i cannot believe this is true
well theyve improved nearly anything about the store, so 800 years at this rate
The fact that they actually make video games.
No, it wasn't. A shopping cart didn't come until late 2008.
Gamasutra has it as a future feature in March 2008:
> The storefront itself will see localized pricing, more available payment methods, game recommendations based on buying history, and a shopping cart.

My first cart purchase wasn't until late 2008.
The first 3rd party Steam game was Rag Doll King Fu in 2005.
