This is literally one of the least shit "bad" bonfire placement. There's no enemies or challenges in between them, they don't make the game easier in any way. Actually the bonfire in the archive is probably one of the bests in the entire series.
Wanna know why it's like this? Two reasons:
One: A bonfire always appear after you kill a boss
Two: Online. There can be no summoning in a boss arena area, therefore the first bonfire would have zero online interactions. The second bonfire is there to allow easier online in the Archives area. You can be invaded while in the bonfire area, and summon sign can be placed around the bonfire for faster co-op.
a literal dog turd incapable of sentient thought > your taste
Who gives a fuck, no one plays 3 anymore, the game has literally zero appeal, it's a polished turd, nothing more
Bloodborne does the same thing. As does DaS2, and Sekiro.
DaS1 is the only game with good bonfire/checkpoint placement.
Why did Artorias skip leg day
>d*rk s*uls 3
Thanks god we had gorgeous DS2 before series went to shit.
It's the most active one though
I mean, that's just because DS3 (and every other From game after BB) has this dumb rule of always leaving a bonfire after a boss
Using the first bonfire would be annoying since it's not that close to the shortcuts
DS2 is quite literally the opposite of a gorgeous game. It's one of the ugliest games I've ever played in my life.
>A bonfire always appears after you kill a boss
This is unnecessary.
>Bloodborne does the same thing
Only there's significantly less checkpoints.
Often an entire level will have only one lamp.
>DaS1 is the only game with good bonfire/checkpoint placement.
>adding a bonefire on boss death makes the game complete trash
It literally doesn't add or remove anything
BB bosses always spawn a lantern, and there's plenty of moments where a lantern is placed right after. Mystery niggas being a good example.
nothing weird or surprising or particularly odd. Bonfires originate from dead bosses' cinders, and so the bridge has to have a bonfire per tradition.
2nd bonfire is there for multiplayer purposes as a new area starts after the bridge.
Next question, DS2 cuck?
it is, and I hate it. But that was just a consequence of this design
I'd ask if you had better things to do but it's almost guaranteed that you don't
>adding a bonefire on boss death makes the game complete trash
>It literally doesn't add or remove anything
If taurus demon had a bonfire then no one would give a fuck about the bridge drake
>go to a chalice
>light a lamp
>open a door infront of the lamp
>find another lamp
It means there's fewer clever checkpoints and bonfires aren't as special. In DaS1 you pretty much always are relieved to find a bonfire, from 2 onwards they have less value and don't have that same impact. Doesn't help that you can't level up at them and have to warp back to a hub to finger the obligatory leveling waifu. Only bad thing I can say about DaS1's bonfire placement is that there probably should have been one in New Londo somewhere, maybe not from the start but somewhere in the middle.
Sekiro is almost a return to form but is a bit too generous with idols and has warping from the get-go.
>there's plenty of moments where a lantern is placed right after
Yeah, when the level ends. Areas like the Forbidden Woods only make use of the lamp right outside of Valtr's hut, until you kill the 3 nazguls. By then, the level ends.
> there's plenty of moments where a lantern is placed right after
Only instance of this is the mystery niggas as far as I can recall.
We weren't talking about chalices.
This doesn't affect the game in any way shape or form.
>gorgeous DS2
It's the best looking Fable game.
fpbp
I am playing it right now and enjoying it so far. Also the bonfire in the foreground connects the Grand Archives. The one in the back atises because you defeat the Dragonslayer Armour, so it makes perfectly sense. It is also useful to get to the Lothric Prince boss faster via shortcut.
>someone tells you your taste is shite
>OMG LOL DON'T U HAVE A LYFE OR SOMETHIN?
Are you like a 13 year old girl or something?
I pity you
no
I'll pity you after I FUCKED YOUR FUCKING FACE
a minor oversight on a pretty good game with cool, non-weightless combat and non-floaty rolls with non-retarded animations
my thoughts are you're a faggot for using the easiest weapon in the game lol fucking casual
bonfires always are at the start of a new area, and at the boss room, these just happen to be pretty close.
besides there is a use for both bonfires individually so i dont see the problem
>bad textures
>shitty backgrounds
>no Fromsoft big area reveals (anor londo)
>the shittiest lighting i've ever seen on any game ever
>even the weapon fucking buffs look terrible
KEK
pretty sure those are camp fires
>people say Prepare To Die edition on PC ruined the community
>it was actually some shitty e-celebs arguing over the sequel
wrong
