maybe pirate, MAYBE
Probably gonna be 100GB like Gears 4 so no.
Will buy anything with laura bailey in it.
where are the other gears games specifically 2
What the fuck, was that Durge at 0:09?
if 2 3 and Judgment (yes, even Judgment) came to PC I could die happy.
It is? No W10 exclusivity? I've been begging to return to the series because I loved the multi but I could never justify using either of the two horrible platforms it was locked to. You better not be lying to me, bro...
Gears 4 was pretty boran so probably not
You do realise 100GB is fuck all in today's standards?
>he doesnt have a 4 TB harddrrive
For a game that's retarded
Are you retarded?
No, upgrade your PC and your internet you poorfag.
hopefully it will have a better fucking anticheat. gears 4 on pc was swarmed with hackers
Is that really gears of war? Shit's really changed.
why dont you have a 4 TB harddrive?
fuck all? HDD prices are going down but that's still 1/10 of the most common drives.
>gears
are you literally 9 years old?
>i played game at 9 so i must be only for 9 year olds
Maybe. I really would want 1 and 2 to come to PC too. I have some fond memories of playing those with a good friend back on the 360
Are you one of those console player who cried bloody murder when they got bodied by a PC player even when they were using a controller?
Fuck the sawed off shotgun. It ruined shotgun duels as soon as they were brought in.
>i suck the post
it"s her story so no
I was always planning on it
Gamepass PC though
>one-shot weapon
>skill
lol
die bitch fucking die
Fuck no
>i suck worse the post
you realize that applies to the gnasher too, you fucking retard?
What are the odds of getting Fablo 2 for PC?
Fuck off nigger it costs like $9 for a month and you can play through the whole game in a month. Why would I spend $60 on it? You can play 2 or 3 games in that time for just the $9.
Yeah, this kind of stupid spectacle-driven, cover-based shootans game is pretty much made with 9 year olds in mind
dont support Netflix for gaming
>it's on Steam
uh
getting awfully defensive over an anonymous retard calling out your 10IQ weapon
I haven't played gears since 2 so I forgot that it could even oneshot. All I remembered was getting chunked from halfway across the map with that sawed off.
so what i0n your opinion is a mature game for a mature gamer such as yourself?
Not being a retarded faggot who thinks asking loaded questions is a clever response, you should give it a try sometime.
the sawed off wasn't even in gears 2.
holy fuck you're stupid.
Oh then it must have been 3. Oops, lol. I'm not trolling, I'm just retarded and I'm not pretending
do you have an answer or not? or was it just that you played then when you where nine so you assume they are for 9 year olds
I'll support whatever I want mate. They just gave me a cheap way to play their games so I'm inevitably going to do that. I'm not going to spend $60 on a digital game and to this day I've never spent more than $20 on a PC game. If steam or windows store dies off in 10 years at least I can say I haven't lost anything seeing as I'll only be renting these games.
I didn't play any of these shit games, sorry that your brain hasn't developed at all since you were nine so you can't even follow a simple conversation.
Very true, you can't lose what you never really owned! I'd better start not owning anything ever as soon as possible. How could I not see this epic strategy?
Didn't Gears of War used to be a cover shooter?
ok so once again what kind of games do you prefer/
>hurr durr I'm a retard
If you buy something physically you own it. You don't "own" any of your digital games as it is and playstation is the best example of that. Piss some Arab off on PSN and he reports you and you get banned you'll lose access to ALL of your purchases. Nobody really owns their digital purchases.
It never really was, the cover system just increased the mobility, but Yea Forums never had an xbox so no one in this thread knows how good the games actually are
Yeah because pissing off a 3rd worlder on PSN is going to get my Steam library obliterated. Nobody in this thread is a consolefag, except for you.
Get banned on steam or watch steam go down and how you lose access to your games. Don't cry when it happens.
I have an xbox
Main question is will multiplayer have all the side characters we got in 4 or will they have to drip feed them again
I played the original Gears on 360 and I seem to remember spending almost all my time taking shots from behind cover or roadie-running to the next piece of cover.
Fuck yeah. Gears still has the best TPS controls out there.
Used to?
That's not how Steam handles bans. Even if you get VAC banned it's only from playing games on specific servers, and from gifting those games to other accounts (so you can't gift them to an unbanned secondary account and keep playing).
Hypothesizing that Steam might go down and completely cease to exist is a slightly different thing, but Valve has never banned anyone from their own library.
Look at OP's webm, there's no cover in it at all. There's skiing and a weird melee combo and someone running around hipfiring into a crowd. I don't see any cover. That used to be the whole point of the franchise.
Steam went down in Europe for a couple of hours a few months back and nobody could play their games even if they had start in offline mode activated. There were multiple threads here about it and people trying to help others with offline mode but it still wouldn't work.
only gears i would get again is 1
The remastered gears 1 and original gears 1 have been on PC for ages
Why would you only want 1?
That's an actual bummer, but it's also a little weird because online mode works in most cases (it certainly does for me, I can disable my internet entirely and still play).
That’s from the cinematic trailer at last E3. Gears gameplay has been more or less the same at its core since the original.
I could also eat all the shit I find lying around for free, the question though is, why?
Yeah it sucks but that's the reality of DRM. One small thing can go wrong and you've suddenly lost access to your games. That's why I prefer to buy physical at every opportunity I get or on PC I download DRM free versions such as the ones on GOG.
ITS NOT ABOUT STEAM!
something being common and being acceptable are two very distinct things.
Meant for
I was never going to buy it, Gears sucks shit.
I couldn't get good at wallbouncing, I wonder if it would be easier on PC
im a pc player
The issue is that buying physical != not having DRM. DRM is an independent thing, and it's perfectly possible (and even common) for online call-ins to be established for disc-based software. Even without that sort of online requirement, almost every piece of boxed software I've ever used has had to call home to the servers during install and activation. Having your 1s and 0s on a plastic disc in addition to your HDD doesn't change the reality of how software companies operate.
Gears 4 had the best MP so far so yes. Rod is God
Well I've never encountered that with my physical library. Everything I own can be played offline assuming it has a campaign mode.
I'm assuming that most of your physical library is either on console or pretty old. Because half of modern PC boxed editions that DO happen still require you to install Steam to use them because the game was built with Steamworks DRM, and the other half have Denuvo or something else that works in a similar fashion.
I can't remember the last piece of software I used where I just put the disc in, pressed install, and had the game. EVERYTHING has some sort of activation or key process or DRM solution these days. It sucks, but it's reality.
Only if the other games come first, I haven´t played a single one.
>HDD prices are going down
Actually no. Seagate and Toshiba are already as low as they'll ever be, and WD is winding down HDD manufacturing operations to make more mediocre SSDs, so the prices are only going to go UP.
On the flipside, cheap SSDs are here to stay, though capacity will always be an issue.
why would i buy a shit game?
cool, coalition collection when?
you play what you eat
Gears is so under appreciated on this board.
No. I'd just buy the original trilogy of GoW games.
Well yeah I mean my physical console library. I haven't owned a physical PC copy of a game since my cousin bought me counter strike like 10 or whatever years ago. We as consumers deserve to have more control over what we own and DRM in its current state can easily lock you out of your game.
>The aspho fields opening of 4
Not sure if I want to start a series with 5th installement.
This always fucks me up. I can't convince myself to get on board late, not going to replay the old games either.
Are you fucking stupid?
This is true but also bullshit, because the console IS DRM. Sony or Nintendo or Microsoft (well, arguably not Microsoft now) control the entire console. You can't play your games on another format, you can't update or upgrade, if part of the device fails it has to be replaced. You pay them for permission to use your own internet, you pay for proprietary peripherals, you live in their walled garden.
They don't need DRM because you can't use any software at ALL that isn't authorized by them. They don't need to restrict your ability to copy game installations because you have no control over what you install. They own the box and give you permission to use it, and they could force an update down tomorrow that bricked it (which they do all the time to people who have the audacity to modify their consoles to allow homebrew apps to run). You don't see the DRM because, unlike on PC, you aren't pushing up against the edge of it, but it's more holistic and complete on consoles at their best than it is on PC at its worst.
Not really, it's only going to get bigger and bigger, go upgrade your hdd and get better internet. I can download 100GB in 5 minutes.
I didn't even know there was a Gears 5. I stopped caring after 2.

Start here, continue in order of number
Fair enough you're right but the ability to play those games are still in your hands. If you own a physical version of a console game and say you get banned or your console bricks itself, you can always just buy another one or still continue playing those games offline because they literally cannot block you from playing that game on the disk (I haven't heard of this anyway). Compare that to a digital version of a game, say you forget your password or something, you're completely locked out of that game and are at the mercy of the game provider. Retro consoles are still such a huge thing because you can go back and play all these physical games even if the stores are closed down like the Wii store for example.
But yeah there's two sides to this.
>If you own a physical version of a console game and say you get banned or your console bricks itself, you can always just buy another one or still continue playing those games offline because they literally cannot block you from playing that game on the disk (I haven't heard of this anyway)
Yeah, but go ahead and try to burn a backup copy of the disk and let me know how far you get.
Also, they can block you from playing anything they want, as long as your console is connected to the internet. You could theoretically disconnect the internet to forcibly disable them from pushing shit down to it, this is true, but then how many games these days do you pop the disc in and the console basically asks you to install it and then download an update for it before you play ANYWAY?
Ironically, Steam (despite its DRM) is a better way of safeguarding your access to your game library because at least with Steam, it's trivial to bypass the Steamworks DRM (so much so that many devs pile shit like Denuvo into games already using Steamworks), so in the event that something does go tits up and you lose official access to your games, it's a minor inconvenience to immediately bypass that restriction forever. Not so for your console.
Yeah but then you have shitters like denuvo who are trying to kill PC gaming by killing the performance of games. Just pray another big company doesn't decide to take on denuvos challenge.
I would actually get 2 and 3 on PC for sure
fuck 5
