>memorizing predictable patterns
what a pro
>Play games designed by FromSoft
>Act surprised when everything suffers from imbalance and artificial difficulty
Not sure what FromSoft is paying publishers, but the reviews for their games never match up with the actual gameplay.
That video would be 100% better without that faggot in the corner. Why are streamers so obsessed with themselves that they think we want to see their ugly mug?
because people watch streams to emulate having friends, voice is just not enough
FromSoft games get a reputation for being hard because they turned the concept of "dying in a video game" from a punishment to a learning tool, but people are so used to the former that they act like the latter isn't the purpose and the reason they're dying so much is because the game is super hard and ableist.
The people who should know that game mechanics can be both a narrative tool and a learning tool are seemingly pavlovianly conditioned to being fucking retarded about these things because of how standardized a lot of gameplay elements are.
Wrong image Eric.
Not everyone is a NEET who has all the times in the world to practice videogame.
You know what ol' Jack Burton always says in a thread like this?
Dying in Sekiro is a punishment tho
Don't tell me you forgot about Dragonrot
>dragonrot
Still better than losing max HP on death. And considering the cure for dragonrot is sold by multiple merchants and apparently gets restocked whenever a merchant is healed from it I'd consider it only a minor inconvenience. Not like you have to heal them anyway once you're done with their side quests. Unless you really want that unseen aid.
It's all about reporting.
How can someone struggle that much to beat Dark Souls? Levelling up is hilariously overpowered and the basic knight build basically keeps you alive the whole time.
Viewers like to connect with the streamer, so most have to use cams to get/keep an audience. It's fucking weird, some who don't and haven't revealed their face get fucking requests for that shit all the time.
>unseen aid
Yeah that's really useful. Thanks for saving that 1 sen and 1 xp for me. Who has ever seen unseen aid and been relieved? It just slows down the inevitable if you really needed it.
Dude Dark Souls is the hardest game in the world. If you did any of the things that don't fall under my arbitrary criteria of noobing your way through the game, like not deliberately ignoring basic mechanics such as summoning or upgrading equipment, you didn't actually beat the game bro trust me.
Summoning is easy mode no matter how you slice it.
no damage is actually easy. its not about difficulty. all it takes is remembering patterns and moves. i can beat some bosses of nioh like yuki onna, nue, white tiger, etc with no damage despite not being an expert in action games. it just takes time.
they are all cpus anyway. you can never do it in fighting games online when the opponent is a skilled human being.
playing the game safely is slow as fuck and they get frustrated when boss takes too much time
>tfw suck ass and die all the time and still beat all the games without ever summoning
yeah unless it's your job to play video games all day and report on them like some kind of video game talker about person
