>Drainage System >Drains your will to live >Filtration System >Filters you out of the game What the fuck were they thinking? I went into this stupid fucking game knowing it was "hard" but honestly I've died in the same area like 75 times then got to some giant fucking hole that I apparently somehow take fall damage now (?) and jumping down it i fucking die, so next time I got there (Which took another 2 or 3 dozen tries) it seems to be a dead end?? I go past the room with the yellow circle with the X through it and it seems to get me to a spot that i can't get to? It doesnt rain down there but I have nowhere to go and nowhere to hibernate so i just go back up into the giant shaft up that led to the "depths" and just fucking die. So what now? There's an exit to subterranean further up that I found that's blocked by some centipede thing that electrocutes me, and there's too many glowy lizard things in this fucking pitch black dark maze to really get out. I can't go back out the drainage system gate and even if I could it'd take fucking forever. Do I just restart? What a stupid fucking game.
what areas have you been in before drainage, filtration and depths?
Brody Brown
Outskirts...?
John Collins
So you're telling me you went straight from Outskirts to Drain, then Filtration and down to depths? Jesus no wonder you hate this game. If that's true then, yeah the depths are a dead end... for now. I can give you some hints or tips if you want, but for now let me just say this. Why the fuck are you going down? You know your slugcats family was up in a big tree right? you fell way down? You want to see them again right? Try going up! or maybe follow the yellow thing around. Who knows what it is or what it wants but I bet its worth looking into. Now this part might be a hard pill to swallow it might be easier at this point to restart the game. Good new is, if you could get through the drainage and filtration, being back in the outskirts will feel super easy.
>You know your slugcats family was up in a big tree right? No? What the fuck, where is this told to you? Yes you jump down outskirts or w/e but there's no indication of that. What yellow thing? The one from the tutorial? He hasn't been around since outskirts. You telling me I just "went the wrong way" the whole fucking time?
Elijah Torres
I found 2 entrances to subterranean and they're both terrible. So I should be going up to the right? Thanks I'll do that.
Elijah Turner
Ok, so without spoiling too much, the "right" path through the game is usually the one that takes you through the karma gates requiring the least amount of karma. You can really get lost in this game, you're just a stupid slugcat in an unknown environment after all. Maybe this tiny yellow guy might help.
Brandon Peterson
so i wasnt supposed to "grind" to be able to open that red gate gotcha i was just supposed to turn around gotcha

Asher Baker
Lol, you fell into the ultimate noob trap, it is hands down worst possible route. When I played I too went to Drainage, but was blessed to be one carma short of opening gates to Filtration, poor clueless me. Getting out of Drainage is a gaunthlet on their own, even without Filtration. But being lost is an integral part of the experience.
when you see the yellow things pause a little and observe them. They'll float at the exit you should go
Kevin Nguyen
You don't fall from a tree though, the tree is where they live and they were exploring the derelict city.
Liam Price
yeah but the point is you fall from a higher place and get separated from your family. the logical next step is going up instead of down.
Juan Price
Maybe but I don't know many new players that didn't go through the first gate they found and ended up lost until someone told them to start over.
Evan Wilson
OP here, this didn't play for me, I didn't skip anything or press a button to skip or something. Regardless this doesn't really imply that you should go "high up" instead of "lower" if you're exploring. I tappreciate the feedback but I found a way through - a 3rd or maybe 4th entrance to subterranean and i'm at a part with rail cars and giant birds with metal legs that run in and kill you if you don't stay near the bottom, I think I'll do okay.
Grayson Sanchez
Just go up retard
Kevin Cook
Go east, as often as you can
Lincoln Flores
do whatever you want. go wild.

Rain World has great art.
Lincoln Bell
the pixels are so small on my monitor that it forced me to go really slow on my first playthrough so I could see shit. It actually benefited me because the yellow pals guided me to the easier path.
Luis Evans
DELETE YOUR SAVE RESTART ON OUTSKIRTS, AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS OF THE YELLOW WORM GUIDE WHEN HE STOPS SHOWING UP, JUST KEEP ON SURVIVING AND GETTING KARMA UNTIL HE COMES BACK AND TELLS YOU TO GO TO THE NEXT AREA YOU ARE FIRST SUPPOSED TO GO UPWARDS AND THEN EAST
Levi Gray
Why in the world your family or that tree would be under the fucking drainage systems? You litteraly fell down, and now you are going even more down? Good luck with the game user
Camden Mitchell
Reminder I didn't see the intro video until now, it didn't play for me in game, so I didn't even know I *HAD* a family other than the dream (?) sequences when I "sleep" / hibernate (?), until now.
Ayden Thomas
you must have something wrong with your game. did you pirate it? sometimes they delete video cutscenes to make the file smaller.
Bentley Hernandez
>I think I'll do okay. keep at it sluggo
Asher Ward
>UPWARDS AND THEN EAST OK so I got to an area called "Shoreline" after just going up and to the right as much as I can from Subterranean. Am I on the right track? No, I didn't pirate it. I actually got it in a bundle a while ago and never had time to give it a try
Kevin Howard
>"Shoreline"...right track? yes. now stop asking questions about the game before someone ruins it for you
Lucas Ortiz
Also I stupidly went up and to the LEFT first and found an area called "Scav Merchant" which seems like a place I'll have to come back to. But this seems to be much easier and better than filtration system.
But I don't understand, still. Depths is a complete dead end? Filtration the player is supposed to say "hm, a dark maze, guess I need to come back here with a light or something" (I saw some enemies carrying little rocks that seem to light up, in subterranean)
Jeremiah Bennett
shit, if you were able to get to shoreline from subterranean the next few section are going to be a cakewalk. also this user is absolutely right. leave this thread and don't look back.
Nathan Brown
ok guess i'll just delete the thread then :)
Carter James
Draaaiiiiin gaaaaang
Josiah Ward
I did the same thing OP did and almost quit the game. Then I figured out that I went the wrong way.
Brandon Diaz
I did the same thing as the op but then I looked up the guide and spoiled myself with all the mechanics and which areas I should go first.
Angel Ross
I was baptized in drainage.
Josiah Lewis
How can a person fuck up this bad
Cooper Roberts
I think there is unintentional genius here, an accidental mastery. Every noob seemingly end up in drainage system, every single time. There must be something in the level design, in the way the zone is segmented that consistently tricks a player into going that way.
Gabriel Diaz
If you read that a game is hard and most of the reviews were too harsh on it because of difficulty, if you encounter a difficult area, do you give up or do you just say "hm, the game is hard, I should just get good" and try to get good at it? How is a new player supposed to know that the game really isn't that hard and if they're struggling that they should take another path?
Lincoln Ortiz
You're absolutely right. And that's one of the reasons so many people gave up on the game. They all went to that area first.
Camden Harris
I'm in a part where a snake like creature camouflages itself as a vine. How the fuck am i supposed to pass that shit? I can't jump over it and it kills me immediately if I touch it
The dev really needs to fix the worm behavior so he doesnt just stop out of the nowhere Also there needs to be a karma/inteligence barrier in the drainage systems gate so players who just begun dont go into it, or just TAKE IT OUT OF THERE AND PUT IT IN LIKE FARM ARRAYS OR SHORELINE
For the game, there is supposedly a big update coming.
Brayden Peterson
the game seems pretty complete to me. will they add areas or something?
Lincoln Gomez
I tried to play this but the controls felt to awkward and stiff. I feel bad I put it down. Does the movement get any faster and not as slow? It felt like a new character on Terraria taking a bottle of depressants slow.
Nolan Gomez
Possibly. And more playable characters and more lore.
Jayden Cox
there's a mod coming up, not an official update
Colton Rivera
You can just walk past it if you don't stop, even if that means touching it. Grabbing or trying to climb it is what kills you
Nathan Moore
>from the wiki >Its name is derived from a catlike appearance and a fluidity of movement similar to that of a slug.
But I remember in an interview the devs saying that some Japanese guy would keep leaving comments on every media update about how much he loved the "Slugcat" despite the creature not having an official name yet.
Jonathan Bennett
Coop campaign.
Daniel Robinson
the switch version is on patch 1.7 and pc is 1.5 Haven't been on the discord for a while, but I remember the More Slugcats Mod guys saying they wouldn't be releasing the Mod until PC gets the 1.7 patch.
I know, it's just that the devs said that 1.7 will make that so their next update can be deployed on all platforms in one go. And they said their next update past 1.7 is a dlc-esque one
Brody Bell
WHEN IS THE PC UPDATE
Logan Thompson
I want to pound slugcat
Kevin Cruz
How do you say slugcat in your native language? For me its "Lesgato"(Portuguese)
Leo Stewart
Sopa de catador, uma delícia. Palavras compostas em inglês não traduzem bem, e scavenger é dificil de traduzir.
