Are there any insane level of quality games? I mean in terms of graphics and gameplay?

The only "insane" quality (up to the par of what a real dev would release) games so far are walking sims or puzzle games (webm related), purely because they're the easiest to make.
Some games with more complicated mechanics are coming out now, I'll post some in this thread

yeah, there's a logic gadget to change the post processing; motion blur, colour grading, filters, etc
It's Early Access, with no major publicity to announce it coming out in EA, so the playerbase is limited. If they say something at the E3 things would dramatically change, the game is pretty much living off word of mouth currently.
Funny to think how you'll get better games released through Dreams by just random community members than actual indie games.

Looking at the duckies there, are you given a bunch of prefab assets to work with from the start or do you only have those you make on your own and then grab whatever else you need from other people?
yes and no
You can make whole cities if you re-use assets, but if you try to use a unique asset for every tiny thing in your level it will fill up quick.
Using a million copies of one rock scaled and rotated to make up a mountain uses the same amount of thermo as just having one instance of that rock in the level.
Thankfully loading is lightning quick so linking levels isn't an issue
The sad thing is that all of these assets are going to be limited to Dreams instead of being used for other projects.
There's only a couple of pre-made assets from media molecule (I guess they will release a bunch with the full game), but the game gives you full access to the whole catalogue of community made assets in the level editor. So you can just open the catalogue, search "tree", and see the thousands of other trees people have made and put them in your level
They confirmed that you'll be able to export your models and 3D print them a while ago, so presumably that means you can use the models elsewhere
There's hundreds of little warioware style minigames
I'm currently trying to make a Frame Arms Architect frame, then I'll try making some of the armour and weapons and try making a game where you can customize and fight them

The game has some pretty decent music tools, feels like the most fleshed out part of the toolset right now. Their audio programmers really know their shit

Just because they're not attending the tradeshow doesn't mean they're not going to show anything around that time. It would be mad to let their competitors to have all the press and not try to steal the limelight a little bit.
They will almost certainly drop some trailers and probably do a stream like the "state of play" ones they've had in the past.
Hell, if they wanted they could hire a conference centre down the street and do a press event there. Most of sony & MS's keynotes since E3 started haven't actually been at the tradeshow itself, they've done it somewhere else closeby. they just have their booths at the tradeshow

I think they mentioned in a stream that they've been increasing the limit as the early access goes on, it was probably just a measure so the servers weren't immediately raped at launch
They said the limit was very high and really just in place to stop like a million people buying it for a cheap price early before it has a chance to take off upon release

Dreams wasn't even in the 1st state of play which aired the fucking day before the early access trailer dropped. Sony doesn't give a fuck about it. Too busy shilling big budget hollywood movie games like TLOU and DS
They probably gave up on the game after all the delays, to be fair to Sony.
I doubt you could make a full sonic game in dreams. Graphic thermo takes up a lot here

I have been working on a crude boomer simulator. But what I'm really interested in the weather effects, as I've also dabbled in a small tornado level. So many options for you to work with to make pretty much anything you can think of. I'm so glad I'm getting the hang of the creation mode at least. too bad most people aren't the creative type.
considering how fast it loads between stages I don't think it would be that much of a barrier.
the grass actually has no effect on the thermo.
Dreams' engine isn't polygonal, it renders things as a cloud of sprites. Using the "looseness" tweak you can make the sprites of an object bigger or smaller, and change their look. For most objects and characters the looseness is low and the sprites are the size of a pixel, so the object looks solid. But if you change the sprite to look like a tuft of grass, and increase the looseness, it looks like grass with basically no thermo cost.

That or they're not willing to put in the work to make their creations come to life. That makes people having both qualities all the more valuable.

right now there are two ways to animate
"record possession" which just records you playing a character and repeats it over and over
then there's "key frames" where you set the position of a character's limbs (or limb) and can activate it. A simple example is hold R1 to raise a puppet's arm. You can string them together on a timeline or trigger them with logic to do more complicated stuff. They can also be blended together on a timeline.
The new content the devs talked about on stream was about natively having a timeline built into key frames and recorded possessions. So it massively simplifies the logic required to do animation and allows easy frame by frame editing of detailed animations or recorded possessions

It's not clever in any way, it's not a great setting for a videogame, it's not interesting. If you need more convincing, just look back on old memes and think about how well they've aged. I would advise you to scrap that shit and start over, this time thinking about what you're doing and about the substance rather than what it looks like but eh, it's your time user and you do with it what you will.

More people are more creative than they think; it just that they are afraid to let their creative side show as it can be crude, embarrassing and not the way they like to present themselves. They therefore censor themselves because they don't want to be judged by others. As an actor who's partially been doing improv, it's a pretty well known fact people are afraid to show who they really are because most people are blindly obsessed with what other people think of them.
