You only choose and play the best games in their genres/series, that should reduce your backlog by 50% at least. Don't play everything.

Man I started working through my backlog recently. It's actually pretty easy and going by quickly, although I'm just completing the campaigns and the games I liked I'm gonna go back to and do the extra content. But you can do it user I believe you!
