Is anyone else enjoying the immense irony that PC is getting crippling downgraded port of a Switch game?

I have an odd story.

I used to work for Nintendo's customer support as a supervisor. I handled escalated consumers, usually pissed off by some innocuous pricing thing for repairs, or anything related to credit cards, like the 5 million shithead children who stole their parents' credit card information to buy Fortnite V-bucks, their parents called the bank for a chargeback, and then the kid cried and threw a tantrum because their account was locked and the parents couldn't believe their child would ever do something like that. Stuff like that.

One of our duties was to reach back out to consumer's who had ongoing issues to see if we could resolve them. I was going through the callback queue and the issue was that a family friend had called in on behalf of a terminally ill child and wanted to know if the kid could get a copy of Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee early as they only had about a month to live according to the doctor's and weren't going to make it to the game's release.

So I called up the number prepared to talk to this family friend and let them know that we couldn't give them a game early, but we could try something else, like a download code for a game that was already out or some swag from the NOA's World Store, but the person who ended up answering was the kid's mom. The contact information left on the incident had been hers. And the first thing she did after I told her who I was and that I was calling on behalf of Nintendo, was ask to put me on speaker phone because she was in the hospital room with the terminally ill child. I was kind of gobstruck and haltingly agreed (because what am I going to do? Tell her no after she's already said out loud that Nintendo is calling but they don't want to talk to the kid?).

What followed was an hour long conversation about video games that the kid loved. It was very bittersweet because sometimes he'd get sad that he wouldn't get to play them, but he had hope. The reason I bring up this story is that I very fondly remember talking to this kid about the Senran Kagura series. I laughed very loudly and was extremely happy when this kid was excitedly talking about a "perverted fighting game" (his words) in front of his nurse, mother, and family friends. He told me all about his favorite girls in the game, but I couldn't tell you who they were since I have no knowledge of the series or any of the games.

While we talked, I was looking up if there was anything I could do for him Senran Kagura related because it's not first party, so I couldn't send him a code or anything, but I could have given him the funds to purchase a game on the Nintendo eShop. I very clearly remember the image in OP because the game had just come out on the Switch's eShop and I gave this kid the money to buy Senran Kagura Reflections. He was kind of hesitant about playing it because it looked like a VN instead of a fighting game.

I silently cried a little near the end of that call because the kid got really sad about his sickness and that I couldn't give him a copy of Let's Go Pikachu. I had arranged a small gift basket of assorted Pokemon plushes from the Nintendo World Store (and I even went out and bought a Tyranitar plush to put in the package because he talked about how he had a female Tyranitar he had transferred between games since Soul Silver). But the Senran Kagura series took on a completely different meaning to me and I can barely think of it as a sexy game because I will forever associate it to this kid.

tl;dr I once talked to a terminally ill kid who really liked Senran Kagura and this game is what I recommended to him in his last month of being alive.

Do people play this series seriously?

I liked the 3DS games, SK2 was a really good game with a ton of effort put into it and it's one of the most impressive-looking games on the system. Some people like Shinovi Versus as well although I personally can't stand it despite being a musou fan.

Find me character models of comparable quality to those of SK2 on the system while also running at 30 fps with 3D on. They're still the best models the series has had so far since even PS4 games released afterwards kept using the shitty Shinovi Versus models instead. Senran Kagura 7even is revamping them, but that game is dead anyway.
