homodemons >An insane terrorist group that kills people and causes void-outs, turning towns into craters >The second line is even more different, reading “Right, they’re a nasty bunch that uses whatever means they can to cause void-out terror attacks“; While the dialogue makes it sound like void-outs are one of their tools in terrorism, the subtitles make it clear that causing void-outs are in fact their goal. >Additionaly, “void-out” is further explained in the Japanese subtitles, being furigana over the Japanese word for annihilation in the context of particle physics, indicating two things colliding resulting in both being destroyed.
>Time Fall
>the Mules
>The Japanese word used for “the other side” is “the other world”, which in Japanese is a common euphemism for the afterlife or the world of the dead.
>subtitles read “Sam, we want you to reconnect the North American continent“, with no mention of Emily or heading west, but indicating that reconnecting the continent is “what Emily started”.
> “As long as they’re still around, there’s no escaping extinction“,
> indicate that the goal of the player will probably be to cross the American continent from east to west in order to “reconnect” it, so as to prevent the extinction of mankind.
That boss footage looked interesting because sam kept stumbling all over the place while the monster also created wave effects with the dark oily liquid. I'm guessing each one of them has a gimmick of some kind, like I don't think the giant cat/dog troy baker summons needs to hinder you with waves of oil to prevent you from escaping.

I don't like the look of the skull soldiers
Can't help but feel it'll probably be the fucking skulls from MGSV all over again
Zachary Reed
Really? I really like the design of skeletons with WW1 gear, and mads looks like the coolest motherfucker ever, props to shinkawa and his always top notch character design Old habits die hard it seems, it's pretty much MGS >threat to world >reluctant hero is in charge of fixing things >lea seydoux is the femme fatale/damsel in distress >troy baker is the big bad unredeemable villai >mads is an absolute ocelot tier madman >ocelot in comms/codec in previous trailer explaining things >token black guy >mama is paramedic and experiments with shit
I meant I don't like the look of them gameplay-wise, not aesthetically. They're probably going to dump you into an arena with the skeletons searching for you and if they find you it turns out they have bullshit superpowers.
And aren't they vietnam war?
Kayden Cox
I'm pretty sure it's hammering the whole "war is bad" message by mashing different aspects of war into one (WW1 tank, trenches, mads and his buddies with modern rifles and gear) and to represent the kind of hell the other world is when you die, eternal war and shit
No, every shot we've seen of that stuff is specific to its age, they're all exclusive. The trenches and landship are in their own spot, Vietnam war skeletons are elsewhere.
Given OP's info about timefalls it sounds like the rain's going to cause ghosts of the past or something to show up (the WW1 stuff) but Mad has his own separate connection.
Thomas White
All that shit and we're basically getting Kojima's remake of The Road? Holy fuck why was I even hype for this
Jonathan Powell
These shitty shoops aren't gonna work here, /r/XboxOne.
Jason Cook
>Kojima's new game is about getting sent to the next dimension by a bunch of homos unless you find a rope
How do you even know if the game is going to be 10/10? Kojima's last "masterpiece" was a 1/3 unfinished piece of shit that made literally no sense
Jonathan Edwards
Mgs5 was a unfinished masterpiece
Carter Peterson
Mgsv was genuinely great and had some cool ideas, it was just unfinished. (Hopefully) this game will be actually finished. Probably helped that they didn't develop their own engine in house so they just had to worry about the game
Owen White
ghosts
Hudson Harris
If you knew the context you'd understand that image isn't pro-Xbox at all
Carter Butler
mgsv was unfinished and a bit disappointing but still fantastic with great game play
Jack Jones
the haters are embarrassing at this point
Nicholas White
>that made literally no sense I guess there weren't enough hour long cutscenes of moustache twirling villains to explain the plot to you in detail.
Nolan Anderson
I have no idea what the fuck is going on but I like what I've seen so far
This kind of game only comes around once in a while and really makes you realize just how much rehashan devs have been doing.
Ayden Parker
>Kojima's last "masterpiece" was unfinished sure >that made literally no sense no,
Isaiah Watson
I'm seeing less and less connection to the original trailer, specifically dead sealife everywhere and those mystery niggas floating in the sky.
Joseph Bailey
The mystery niggas are BTs
Ryan Jones
Really? Because the new trailer implies that BTs are like ghosts trapped in the limbo between life and death, yet the OG trailer portrayed those sky niggas as like guardians or observers or something.
Calling it: The whole game takes place inside the Patriot AI system which is why connections are so important. Bridge Babies are new AIs made specifically to detect shit old AIs can't and the "other side" is the real world as seen through the eyes of a Patriot AI.
Sam Bridges is wordplay on Samuel Adams. Sam is a disillusioned AI that doesn't want to rebuild the system. Homo Demens are AIs that sympathize and work with humans to subvert and destroy the system from the inside.
Matthew Gonzalez
>Sam Bridges is wordplay on Samuel Adams that's a fucking stretch
