it doesn't
I mean, Yea Forums hates everything, so temper your expectations

You can't deny that the final choice is bullshit. It pretty much renders everything you did throughout the entire game to be pointless.

>The Spirits Within was the best sci-fi movie ever.

...

i played ep1 when it launched. i couldn't get behind the game with how bad the lip syncing was to the audio. did they ever fix that?

>>>/reddit/

while completely true I don't think the overall plot was really the point of the game, it was about the characters and unraveling little mysteries

they should be asking the hard hitting questions instead

It's just your standard 2012ish console "story game"...

AKA a visual novel without any of the parts that make a visual novel appealing (adorable girls, an interesting plot, sex, etc.)

Its great so is before the storm. Season 2 looks like shit.

What bothered me about the final choice is just the nature of the choices, not that previous choices had no impact. Killing a bunch of innocent people just to be with your gf is pretty retarded.

>tumblr_oa6cq2tHbI1uj5p90o1_500.gif

This adequately describes why I hate Life Is Strange and you. Kill yourself.

not much gameplay. episodes 1-4 are great but ep 5 sucks ass. bts looks decent but 2 looks like crap

>tfw finish up to 4th season
why are you like this Yea Forums?

have sex

I'm already on Yea Forums.

because it's not a game, or because the content is awful?

[I don't like this thing] | [I really really don't like this thing]
interactive "game" with meaningful "choices" in a nutshell

I'd like to put it as that fate still gives you the chance to save Chloe one last time
Either way both endings are fairly bad as if you save the town, nothing you did with Chloe means anything and everything Max did to help Chloe was in vain. And if you save Chloe, you are the epicenter of the storm, going along with the flow of the situation.

All in all, you play an 18-19 year old girl put into an impossible situation with impossible powers and every action you make can destroy the fabrics of reality

The comics were shit too dont read them

Not a fan of teen drama stories.

Also lesbians, not a fan of lesbians anymore.

I just don't like the writing on the whole
The only thing the game did that was kind of cool was say "You've been wasting your fucking time with this bitch when a TORNADO IS COMING, you've squandered your time powers on petty bullshit"
At least it would have been cool if it wasn't a railroaded narrative experience that *requires* you to waste your time doing bullshit, it's more a small commentary (though I imagine unintentional, they aren't that bright) about the kind of people who enjoyed the game until that point, enjoyed fucking around with time powers and meddling in things that don't involve them when everyone is going to die unless you do something

I like all of the SFM porn that it's spawned.

bunch of fags is why

Poorly written with no depth at all. Pretentious.

Same level of schlock writing as David Cage.

terrible game.

The last part and specifically the mind maze thing is pretty ass

Lmao, Catcher in a Rye, amirite my fellow hipsters ?

I don't know, go ask him

The whole fifth chapter is shit, the rest of the game is pretty good. Life is Strange is at it's best when it's focusing on comfy slice of life high school stuff or Scooby Doo mystery solving. It becomes shit as soon as it tries to be "deep" with the time travel stuff.

Well because season 2 is better

am i the only one who loved the nightmare in chapter 5 ? I thought it was great...and i liked the ending where Chloe dies, very beautifully made and impactful. Hurt like a bitch, especially after i played the Before the Storm DLC which arguably hurt even more

Attached: 1482032261130.jpg (332x333, 68K)

and i wanna add something: the final choice doesn't render everything you did pointless, on the contrary - it cements in the player's mind the idea that Max now has to live the rest of her life knowing that she is the only one who knows everything that happened. She can't tell anyone, who would believe her ? Only she knows that in the end Chloe was willing to sacrifice herself to save the city. It's supposed to be pretty painful and sad for both you and Max, but if you are unable to see that then i dunno, sucks to be you. I loved it

There is something about Max that really wants me to have her as a gf

Attached: 1445703892600.jpg (900x900, 740K)

Eat shit and die

There is something about Max that really makes me want to _be_ her.

Attached: file.gif (500x239, 1.16M)

???

5 is the best episode. Game goes completely surreal and it's actually interesting.

She's adorable and honestly just awkward enough to make her personality cute too. If she were real I'd love cuddling up and watching some movies with her.

Yea Forums is just tsundere

You wanna be cute, shy and huggable?
You're already those things user

because it's made by onions french men who think cramming all the cliches they saw on american films and television makes for a good american game

I really loved how cheesy and stereotypical the first one was. It was clear they had never actually experienced an American school but they used their perception of it from movies and media and though it was over the top some of it was accurate and funny. Problem with season two is they take that misunderstanding of American schools and tried to translate their understanding of modern day American politics which we all know is a much more sensitive topic so when there's such a gross misunderstanding of the culture it's far more egregious. I'm not even American and I can tell they're completely out of touch with reality. I stopped playing after the first episode because it left such a bad taste in my mouth. Does it get any better?

I was in a mild depression after finishing the game. Thinking back to it, I can't even understand why, but I know that I was emotionally crushed after the ending

I just killed the whole town. Felt pretty happy with the ending.

It wasn't very well written, it wasn't any kind of challenge, and the final choice was no choice at all because they had already spent the entire game making Chloe completely unlikeable. Might as well have asked you if you wanted to save everyone in the town or eat a turd sprinkled with cinnamon.
Soundtrack was okay I guess. Only redeeming feature.

I liked it and BtS but fucking hate LiS2. I played the first episode of LiS2 blind and I still hated it.

>Games main event is a cop pulling out a fucking gun two kids over a dude with fake blood
>Then said officer shoots dad
>Game then goes around spewing political bullshit
>Older brother/bitch boy goes around whining how he wants to walk to Mexico
>Game has less choices then the first one

Like fuck just give Max and Chloe again and not King Dumbfuck and his autistic brother

Attached: 1546829589245.jpg (1085x1217, 209K)

>the mind maze thing is pretty ass
If you mean the part where the doppelganger rightfully gives that fuckwit a diatribe on why she's a fuckwit, then that's possibly the only redeeming factor of this game.

How weak are you? I understand being sad while watching an ending but going on to be depressed?

What type political bs

Can someone explain how Max got the vision of the tornado before she even used her time powers?

Because Chloe is a cunt.

Because thats when she got the power

the way they implemented the time travel past the expected dialogue rewind made it pretty unique for the genre and i found the edginess of it all to be pretty appealing in an ironic way

LiS2 is pretty aids compared to LiS1.
>Pretty boring characters
>Predictable plot and It ends up being a Copy of Mice & Men
>Out of nowhere random racist dude thrown in with based onions bro to help out without thinking
Thats episode 1 alone, I cant be fucked finishing episode 2 due to the boring subplot of CS/his father
Also
>Dad dies
>Daniel decides to shit out a shockwave from shock that levels out a small suburb
>Sean decides to go full illegal and piss bolt to the border without thinking
>Cops: "Hurr despite the entire neighbor hood suffering a giant shockwave, knocking over power poles & catapulting a cop 3 feet deep into the pavement, the brothers are now wanted and highly dangerous, please avoid at all costs"
The writing took a huge nosedive compared to LiS 1

Attached: 253.jpg (600x884, 65K)

It was made by a left leaning Californian company.
What kind of political bs do you think he's talking about.

one of the funniest games ive played, wish the game let me shit on chloe more and side with david more often. the prequel was dumb as shit too because it developed chloe and made her mature towards her mom and the prospect of a step dad but she clearly never got to that point in the original game. also david kick that table is arguably the funniest thing ive seen in a game ever

He liked the first 2 games, they are very liberal. Im asking what is a bout season 2 that made him call it out the political stuff.

Typical anti-Trump shit, one dude (who is made to seem like a southern trucker....in Oregon) literally tells the older brother that he’s the reason the wall should be built and calls the kids spics. I’m not even kidding.

I want to kiss Max on her furry little pussy

One thing people overlook is that the game is made to make you think Max is the main character, when in reality the story is about Chloe. The whole game is about accepting what you can't change.

Chloe loses everyone. Her best friend, her father, Rachel, her mom. She couldn't accept her father dying and being left alone. Much like Max hides behind her camera, Chloe hides behind a false personality. Her writing comes off as cringy because it's meant to. She's someone trying to be something else.

In BtS, you can see Chloe standing in front of a coming train not afraid to die when she had nothing. In the main game, when she's trapped in the track, the same train is heading coming and she is actually afraid to die.

You see her grow as a character from a suicidal person caring about no one, to willing to sacrifice herself for a whole town. I think the game is underrated from a storytelling standpoint.

I also think the game is much better without any love interests. Max and Chloes relationship seems much more real as just two best friends reuniting.
