Nope. The argentinian is now a full fledged developer and running the show on the biggest server. Luckily, he seems to only want to develop his version of the game, which everyone has decided against in favor of a new project from scratch, so the majority of coders are on that instead.

The south american is now one of the people running the largest server, Homecoming. They're scamming people out of donation money and trying to enforce a EULA that says they can't be held liable for anything, legally.
The server linked in OP is run by Reddit and owned by a literal tranny that wants to push being the LGBT server, all forms of free speech are limited and banned there.
The /vg/ discord is one of the only places left untouched by trannies or the faggots milking the game dry.

Yeah it's back. Go to the /vg/ thread for all the servers. Play on Rebirth or the /coxg/ server if you want traditional City of Heroes. Play on Homecoming if you're only concerned with population, but note they just put up some shady user agreement.

The Homecoming team is working with Leandro, the guy who ran the secret private server for 6 years, and are actively trying to sabotage other servers. Rebirth, the second largest server had its system admin hacked and doxxed and got the server shutdown for a few days.

Homecoming: player numbers in the thousands split between a few shards. The guy who ran a server in secret and ran disinfo and smear campaigns to keep it that way is a staff member and it runs a modified version of the game that gives out merits and incarnate materials and has some hit or miss custom power additions
Rebirth: run by a mostly neutral team of coders and uses the official beta version of the game. Barebones but slowly being improved on. Second largest playerbase at around 150 online at any time
Reddit server: about 100 people. RP heavy. Head admin has a transformative gender.
/coxg/: run by /ourguys/, with some of the aforementioned neutral coders providing help. About 50 people online at any time, can go higher if something interesting is happening or you ping the discord
