I disagree, alot games don't upscale good and look blurry. Onimusha for example. Some don't even look much different at 1080p compared to a CRT TV. This is coming from guy that mostly emu on PC since my ps2 is broken.

and guess what? the version only bumped like 0.2 lmfao. 10 goddamn years. can I even play jak & daxter or ratchet & clank without severe issues?

These anons are pretty much correct on this :
Adding to them, try switching between software modes and different kinds of hardware modes (DX9/11/OpenGL) and see which works out in case of glitches).
Software mode is very CPU heavy and aside from some less performance intensive games, it almost always is a slow down. Hardware are much better, but with chance of glitches.

There's lot of room for improvement, but it's still decent for now.

Don't know about the first issue since I can't remember that being a problem but there's definitely a fix for the second issue since I played through all of Covenant without that problem. You might have to switch to software mode for battles I can't remember.

I'm actually playing through From the New world right now.

It is good, but its not in the same league as 1 or 2. The characters are really lacking. Only Frank stands out. And the story is just really uninteresting and makes that cool unaddressed loose end from Covenant into a bit of a joke. The soundtrack is also a huge step down from previous games.

I would say its the weakest of the four, including Koudelka.

I played the first game basically no problem, but the second has some weird glitchiness where the screen flashes red if you're in a sub-area. Doesn't do it in the main area, though the characters' outlines have a tendency to pop in and out.
