how is that pic scary?

A third worlder made this thread.
Trust me.

just imagine the smell

Jesus Christ how horrifying

Have you ever been alone in a completely empty building like that, it's really eerie

Power of suggestion

Idk, ask the devs of Darkwood

I still haven't played that because I don't really like top down perspective in games but I've heard it's legitimately one of the best horror games to come out in years, is it really that good

youtu.be/E53K6wGzVRg
Imagine being stuck in an infinite hallway like this, just outside of reality, by accidentally nocliping into it. Imagine it like the background of reality and you can't escape. Feels like a fever dream I don't like thinking about it

liminal space

I think Myst kind of invokes this feeling. Maybe not so much the horror, but the atmospheric isolation.

Homeless game with nocturnal fish mutants and an oblivious town that kind of ignores you because you're a hobo, you can interact with people during the day to try and get help or items from passers-by and certain NPCs
And you have to survive during the night by finding things to eat, defend yourself and a safe place to sleep.
Different things happen as the days go by with different NPCs, events and the opportunities
Ambience is kinda bleak during the day and very oppressive during the night.

Unironically, well lit, empty office rooms creep me out. I once worked part-time as a janitor and one day I had to collect some left over cables from an office building which has been abandoned few days ago. Chairs, desks were still there. It was like I heard someone typing on the keyboard. It was creepy, Silent-Hill tier creepy.

The Stanley Parable gave me this feel

The scary thing about this is how it feels so familiar yet so unfamiliar, for some reason it envokes childhood memories but I can't really remember them. Like these rooms are the collective unconscious of everyone.

FUCK I don't like thinking about this, it's a fucking weird feeling

Attached: C9720F88-EF6C-48FE-918A-9136695DE3CD.jpg (1024x1024, 142K)

But WHY is that so eerie, I never understood it

Anything could be hidden in one of those rooms

It feels sterile and unnatural

So we're just going to run this straight into the ground, huh?

Attached: 1406441304932.png (158x151, 13K)

Yes let's have a horror game where nothing happens and you can't win
How epic

>OOOH WALLS SO SCARY

Wtf is this and why are there constant threads about this picture every day now for the last few weeks. I have seen the video I still don’t understand the horrors from it.

you can't noclip in real life dumbass

>youtuber made a video on it
nothing is sacred holy fuck

Attached: 1557687687565.png (605x381, 187K)

Its unexplainable really. The fear of the unknown and the familiar. Accidentally trapped in an infinite hallway that's so familiar yet unfamiliar

The Backrooms were never meant for anything 'human'. They were designed for human-killing anomalies, particularly ones that have abilities to 'phase', or become partially immaterial, to bypass obstacles and continue their attack. The Backrooms' insidious genius lies in the fact that they were meant to only be triggered by these sort of phasing abilities, trapping the anomaly in an area that updates to just barely meet an unconsciously agreed upon state of what constitutes a building that would be full of humans- a workplace. The damp carpet and buzzing lights are meant to interfere with Anomaly scent and hearing based detection, but this is so much overkill given an Anomaly's greatest weakness.

To remain in the human consciousness- and thus remain alive- an Anomaly must cause fear or rumors of it's existence periodically. While this varies from Anomaly to Anomaly, the consequences for failing to refresh this belief become slowly more catastrophic for the Anomaly, as it lacks the human ability to argue it's own existence successfully- i.e. quite literally, "I think, therefore I am". Protections in the backrooms ensure that not even residual vestiges of these Anomalies can escape.

Unfortunately, while reality is by and large unglitched, rare exceptions do occur, especially when certain areas of our world become strained under the weight of constant hyperactive human consciousness and paradoxes of belief. In this case, a human can move- or fall- between these cracks and into the Backrooms, triggering a trap that at any other point they simply lack any capacity to do so.

The Backrooms are not inherently hostile to humans, but direct methods of inflicting injury are unnecessary when panic, starvation, and dehydration kick in. Add to this residual vestiges of mindless anomalies- harmless but often audible- and the constant auditory and olfactory assaults of buzzing lights and damp carpet- and you have a sort of hell for humans.

arcade games don't count

Personally I moved around with my family a lot as a kid. The pic reminds me of when we were house hunting, entering these sprawling basements that were completely empty. It's just the idea that the emptiness is misleading- if you walk through that entrance there could be someone or something lurking just around the corner out of sight. It also taps into being home alone as a child, some of us had basements that looked like that and our childish nervousness paired with an overactive imagination made it creepy. There's something oddly familiar about the rooms in that photo.

Attached: 1547054929728.jpg (1200x672, 83K)

well why the fuck not?
how about Devil Daggers?

Atmospheric horror is almost always something the viewer is familiar with in some way, but presented in a way that creates a sense of unease.

Imagine 5 Nights at Freddys but with familiar camera angles and well lit backgrounds, it's not scary at all. But add perspective shots that creep people out and turn the lights off and it's pretty scary.

Attached: untitled-101.jpg (2048x1360, 340K)

Because office buildings are usually busy places. You expect someone coming around the corner or someone sitting in a room you're passing buy. But noone is there.

Wow some faggot on the internet ripped off House of Leaves and everyone is eating it up.

Does anyone else find "clever" attempts at horror to just be really shitty? It always feels like they're trying too hard to be unconventional and meta.

Dumbass it's not about that. Ever been in an completely empty building that's usually bursting with life like a shopping mall? It's scary as fuck for some reason
What the fuck? Already?

When the picture was first posted on /x/ it was just a creepy picture thread, a good explanation was that there's nowhere in the room that you aren't exposed in some way, so hiding is impossible.

>Ever been in an completely empty building that's usually bursting with life like a shopping mall? It's scary as fuck for some reason
How the fuck does that translate well to a video game?

It's not.
>user posts original pic
>another user writefags a paragraph
>thread chuckles and moves on
>reddit finds it
>suddenly BACKROOM is posted everywhere as the next big thing in horror

It's not really that unique.
It's basically "OOH DON"T LOSE YOUR SANITY ALSO SCAWY URBAN AWEA :'((("

Most attempts at horror nowadays are shit. I'll wait for you to come up with a good concept
>How the fuck does that translate well to a video game?
How would it not? Just add a few more elements to it

>It's scary as fuck for some reason
Yeah, if you're an onions-boy

/x/ fanfiction is lame as fuck. It's the same reason why SCP is fucking boring, it's just random images with a paragraph long creepy pasta haunted videogame cartridge tier bullshit and you people eat it up.

Attached: 1558817812354.jpg (184x184, 13K)

>I'll wait for you to come up with a good concept
Just go back to classic horror. Give me a *thing* to fear.

Have you never had a job after hours? it's literally just a building with nobody in it and it's kinda weird for a few days but then its business as usual.

Ah yes, the concept of Library of Babel isn't scary either. Usually fever dream like concepts are terrifying. What should have I expected of this shithole anyway

>muh late stage capitalism
fuck off larpers

>How would it not? Just add a few more elements to it
Because adding elements would make it cease to be empty.

I'm pretty sure if someone made a backrooms horror you wouldn't just sit in one room and that would be the game

If it was to be accurate then there would be no escape and therefore no win state. And frankly that's fucking gay.

Reminds me of the attic as a kid, before my parents had it refurnished. For me the smell was more like decades-old dust and too many blazing hot summers cooking the carpet and wood. I legitimately used to have nightmares about the closet at the top of the stairs leading to endless halls and rooms of that motif similarly full of random piles of junk like shitty old chairs and lampshades, where I'd get lost. An episode of The Strain where the chick gets lost in the vampire's abanonded hotel reminded me a lot of it. Excuse the retarded text, it's from Google. The Shining also obviously played it up with the Overlook's halls, so there's gotta be something behind it that disturbs us so much.

Isn't the best horror when you have a slimmer of hope but ultimately end up falling? It doesn't have to be a satisfactory win state to be good

While outside regulatory forces (better thought of as 'angels' for simplicity's sake) very often check the Backrooms for human consciousness, removing accidentally trapped souls and erasing memories of their stay, it should be noted that 'very often' for creatures who existed before linear time boils down to around every 20-50 years. As even the very few humans with any metaphysics manipulation abilities have no ability to detect humans trapped within- or escape themselves if they should enter- an accidental trip into the Backrooms is nearly invariably fatal for humans.

Of note is that by going off the current predictive outcomes of human technology and metaphysical awareness, the likelihood of our species becoming able to emulate the triggering 'phasing' ability increases by about .5% each passing year. Barring an extinction level event, it is increasingly more likely that we as a species will either 'rediscover' the metaphysical inputs needed to produce phasing like effects or create technology that works to do the same. The potentially catastrophic factor is that if a use of such phasing were to occur in an area where Backroom traps were present, there would be no indication the human or humans involved had moved to another plane- they would simply seem, for all intents and purposes, to vanish without any trace.

While Anomaly population has dropped to near-extinction levels (i.e 666,000 specimens to 666 specimens between 1985 and 2015) due to the recent implementation of The Backrooms, removing the escape-prevention safety measures put in place for the sake of humans being allowed to leave as they please would ultimately prove fatal to our current timeline. Most Anomalies operate in some grey area between predatory instinct and murderous spite, but possess a rudimentary awareness and communicative ability enough to be aware there is a very dangerous trap in place for those who use phasing abilities to continue hunting.

There is no hope though.
It's an infinite maze with no exit.

But how do you know that? Infinity means every room would eventually be possible, even one with a door to escape. There's your slimmer of hope. And how wound you know it's infinite anyway?

You should never hype yourself up for things too much, but I think it's fucking great.

This doesn't me me feel unsettled or uneasy. Maybe if I was actually there, but there's nothing scary about it.

Its the unfamiliar premise combined with expectation. We generally expect buildings to be full of stuff. the drab 80s-90s decor adds some age, the flourescents alone irritate many, and many office buildings and hotels are maze-like to the uninitiated. combine that with lack of distinct features for orientation and being alone and its basically a modern corn maze.

ironically, as someone who worked construction management and county inspections, Ive taken tours of many empty buildings. Some people just find the emptiness to be unsettling, whereas all I see is mildew damage, did the fiberglass support get put in right, are the doors unobstructed and have clearance, etc

this is fucking retarded and literally spic-levels of horror. fucking boring.

Tell me which is the best horror games of all time

It's an odd fear, but a lot of us have it.

>but there's nothing scary about it.
The one fear every human shares is fear of the unknown. I remember a thread where someone mentioned some Japanese horror story or something where you're trapped outside of reality for a billion years and then pop back into existence with no memory of it.

what a wonderful world

of course you won't get it; you have autism

Is just a dog humping a pillow

To that end, many Anomalies are currently dormant- in various sorts of suspended animation- in an attempt to hope this new threat can simply be waited out. However, some remain active, including several capable of reproduction, and while Anomalies are normally asocial to each other to sociopathic extremes, the cessation of the Backroom's greatest danger would be immediately spread to all active and dormant Anomalies, as they consider humanity to be the higher priority for destruction. That our extinction would very quickly mean their own is either not considered or is an acceptable outcome to them- as stated earlier, with no constant supply of belief, an active anomaly will very quickly evaporate from reality, leaving an insubstantial vestige behind.

While Anomalies can be destroyed by conventional means- lots and lots of firepower or other trauma that we humans would consider 'excessive and definitively lethal'- and are much more easily dispatched through metaphysical means, our reaction times simply aren't quick enough to allow for any scenario where a victory over a single Anomaly would not come with a double digit cost in human lives at the very minimum. It is thus agreed by those few 'in the know' that while such rare accidents are tragic, the alternative is far, far worse.

I saw it coming, still got me.

Are we going to have this thread every night?

Pretty much how i feel. It's the new version of cave posting we had every night last year

this

So, we're dumping scary screencaps or what?

It's this video here
youtube.com/watch?v=CN_eL5ukCbw

Everybody has a fear of the absolute unknown. No matter what it is. Especially if it envokes a feeling of familiarity.

The main issue with these "atmospheric" ideas is that the atmosphere wears off really fucking quickly when there's nothing there.

This is dumb because you would not perceive the time at all. Your perception is actually your memory, so you would not actually experience what you've forgotten.

lmao it's the other way around, retard.

There's cool ways to do psychological horror/terror, but just pointing to an empty space and saying "woah, creepy!" wears out its welcome fast and becomes quite trite.

I know SCP is a meme now, but SCP-2614 pulls this off well and isn't a load of cringe

600 million miles is like the surface area of 3 Earths. At that point, you'll be begging the monster to find you.

If there was a game it wouldn't just translate the picture directly, don't you think?

Not understanding why someone enjoys something is in fact autism, my child.

>game starts out as your typical horror game with creepy atmoshpere in first person walking around getting spooped.
>Hellish demon motherfucker appears
>Punch it in the fucking skull and pull out a goddamn boomstick
>Surprise you were doomguy all along
Then from that point on after you kill the first monster you play as one of the monsters trying to hide and escape from his rampage watching your friends get murdered one by one

>Your perception is actually your memory, so you would not actually experience what you've forgotten.
What does that even mean? You would be there to experience all that time, but you would then forget it.

Thank you for not typing doomslayer
thank you so much

I'd still hit it

You would perceive it, but then you would un-perceive it. I thought this was more of a humor story, though. Being given enough time to pretty much reach enlightenment (and realizing it was so damn stupid to do it for money) only to yank it away from you, prompting you to start the process anew.

Since no one wants to any creepy stories I'll start.

The whole backroom thing really doesn't spook me that much at all. It's actually always been comfy to me, being in empty schools, empty offices with a buzzing light, heavy machinery, all that is hella comfy. A place where time does not exist? Sounds good, time scares me more than anything anyways.

very 70's

can confirm. I worked at a military depot as a contractor a few years ago and I walked through a building that was mostly cleared out a decade or two previously but still had active offices at one section. I didn't go through the sections that were abandoned often but the few times I did it gave me the heebie jeebies something fierce. it's the smell, silence, and how out of time everything feels.

Horror barely works in video games because there are no true stakes.
Horror is scary because the outcome is unknown. Is there something in there? What can it do? What will it do to me?
Game are inherently limited so you will figure out these things really quickly and it takes all the tension and fear out of the situation, take Silent Hill for example, my personal favorite horror game. An enemy find you? You fight it and if you lose you die, back to the last save, no deviation from this pattern. Horror revels in unpredictability, but video games are extremely rigid things.

then i found this weird easter egg

Did you ever have a dad who worked in an office building? Because that’s where I get it from. I remember times when he’d have to pick something up from his cubicle at night and I’d come along, and seeing all the empty rows upon rows of cubicles and offices really fucked with me.

>daredevils falling off of buildings from the youtube videos?
I remember seeing a WebM posted here of a guy who climbed over the ledge on top of a skyscraper for Instagram followers, except he didn't have the strength to climb back up.
Ded.

My dad was a florist who worked in a shop attached to the gardens themselves. It was always cool inside and smelled like rain. I got my arm caught in a rose bush being an autistic spaz and cut myself up pretty good.
Good times.
That said, one time while "urban spelunking" with friends when we were like 12, I remember there was an unlocked building that was looking to be sold. There were empty filing cabinets and even leftover binders full of paperwork they hadn't moved yet. Pretty eerie.

Not only that, the cave was permanently sealed with his body left inside.

How long before you realize no one has checked up on you? How long before you realize the door isn't latched? How long do you think you'll wander what seems like miles upon miles of identical, endless backroom halls before you realize you don't remember how to get back to your room where there was any hope of ever getting out of there or at least communicating with us back here on the frontside?

Sleep tight.

Sometimes I hope to catch people fucking. But it's always janitors or some jerkoff who forgot to turn off a light.

Can you Hotline Miami it if you become good enough with the movement and twitch reflexes?

Austists are obsessed with order and some creepypasta shit to contextualize random images pleases this autistic instinct.

Me too but only because I have trouble sleeping

I enjoy watching SCP Illustrated

no, its not a top down shooter in a traditional sense. most of the time you'll be using a melee weapon as guns are hard to come by, and ammunition is scarce. even when you do get a loaded gun, you have to slowly aim a firing cone or you'll likely miss, and you dont want to miss because of aforementioned scarcity
makes the game fucking tense, you really don't want to be caught out of position

I wanna know why some faggot hasn’t made a gif edit jumpscare

I'm going to try this some day

Fuck. I wanna learn magic. Not that faggy Harry Potter.

Sometimes I would wonder for hours what's really going in those lit windows on those big skyscrapers. What they're exactly doing, if it's the employees or the cleaning staff, if they're sleeping there. That's probably what's subconsciously going through your mind yourself. That those businessmen and entrepreneurs are living an entirely different niche and even reality behind those windows that people like me could only imagine.

The implication.

It's a shitty larp started by a gay youtuber and it's discord.

name ONE THING in this image
ONE SINGLE THING

You spend all your time waiting for the inevitable jump scare.
If it comes, you're startled, and then pissed off.
If it never comes, but keeps looking like it might, you're unsettled the whole time.

plastic bag

The actual threat is never being able to escape, nigger.

I imagine this is what you'd see when you come within the prescene of Cthulhu

Attached: 1497118254065.png (313x313, 149K)

>>If it never comes, but keeps looking like it might, you're unsettled the whole time.
This is false. You just become desensitized to it and it loses all tension.

These neural networks are actually a pretty good aproximation of what it's like to take LSD

The suggestion of a monster is spookier than an actual monster. Hearing footsteps in another room is worse than actually seeing the thing.

>a game should have nothing happen in it
just fucking download a garrys mod map, disable noclip, and walk around
There's your fucking perfect horror experience.

Cave crawlers and cave divers are just fucking insane. I've jumped outa planes from 400 meter height and crashed with 20 km/h into the frozen ground and I would never climb into a dank little cave that I do know nothing about.

I don't think it's that really - it's less about humanity than absence of humanity. Skyscrapers never gave me those feels, but empty real estate developments or office complexes absolutely did. Something like pic related, with one light on. It's weird.

If you guys like The Backroom stuff, check out the story The Red Tower by Thomas Logotti, it's creepy as fuck and deals with similar themes.

You ever just start jacking it when you're a bit spooked after reading/seeing something eerie? Like, I'd like to see a ghost try to mess with me if it knows it might be getting a shot of my ectoplasm.

Attached: 1435419682583.webm (400x226, 678K)

So whats supposed to be scary about this?

Some dude in a mask runs out the hall towards the camera.

What am I seeing?

Didn't Yea Forums talk about making a game similar to this OP?
>You Are Here took place alongside the Pressure discussions. The ideas bounced back and forth were endless but the concept was that the player was left behind in a gigantic mall situated on an actual planetoid and abandoned by the ultra-corporate host that built it in the first place. It's seemingly empty but there would be signs of life and the intercom would come on to inform guests regarding certain events or when the mall opened/closed.

>There were ideas where things would change between cycles, like graffiti appearing where it wasn't before or empty stores have some of its stocks refilled or even stores barred up entirely. Players needed to make sure they reached their shelters before the mall "closed" and the lights went off because no one wanted to be outside when it was dark. The goal was to discover why you were there, what was causing its anomalous environment and how you could get out.

>GO UP THEN DOWN AND UP THEN DOWN AND UP AND

Fuck dude, this is just the horror equivalent of those stories about unlocking Toad in Melee by beating Classic mode 50 times as Peach or whatever inane shit they could think of to get you to waste your time

the only spooky game

It would have been funnier if he dragged someone else.

This is an edit, she actually lands in some water that you can see clearly.

there was only one creepypasta that really scared the shit out of me, I cant find it though
It was about a dude living in an apartment with really thin walls, and weird stuff started to happen, turned out some dude was living in his apartment within a fake wall
when he realizes he runs out of the building and uses the phone box across the street to call the police to report it, looks up into his apartment window as hes talking, and sees a man in there staring directly at him

A horror game about some homeless bum seems like a really good idea.

dude that sounds fucking rad.

did she die?

you can't quit or turn off the power

Im pretty sure stuff like that has happened irl. A famous case like that happened in japan, with a guy setting a security camera to catch to catch a thief only to discover that there was a crazy person eating his food and then hide ij a closet or a giant drawer that happened to be right next to the computer he was sitting on as he watched the footage.

Really? You don't remember the talks about it, user? You don't recall the threads about Pressure?

Yo guys how do I get a fearboner? Sounds like an interesting experience

I like this idea, I actually had a similar one a while back but I think this one's better

what the actual fuck
why do people sexually torture their pets? give them a fucking mate

an atmospheric horror game is a game that just feels scary, but that's all it really does. For example, exploring an old house and with a lot of creaky noises and shit.

A psychological horror game changes the way you think in order to freak. Usually with puzzles where the solution might be to murder a cute bunny and get a key out of it's stomach, or something fucked up like that.

It won't outright tell you to do it, though. It was your own idea to kill the bunny.

It's a gif with just a single frame, believe it or not

Now THIS. This is a much more terrifying concept of Hell than an endless void of empty rooms. Imagine spending eternity in a cave, just tight enough that you can't move anywhere yet you aren't completely stuck. You can wiggle your arms and legs ever so slightly but you cannot move entirely. The feeling of tightness never getting any less intense. Just being stuck. Forever.

Attached: stock5.jpg (1300x951, 95K)

I'm not believing you for a second.

lmao thats me with my onahole

There's some saint who had a vision of hell that was basically that. A demon stuffed her inside a wardrobe that was too small for her to fully stand or sit down, so she was constantly just crouching inside a dark too-small space for the rest of eternity

*small itch in a place you can't reach*

this ones a classic despite it just being a guy in a mask and stilt things it gives a good spoop especially after thinging about no clipping into the backrooms. Im watching the bray road beast for full spoop wet butt and the AC is too high so I keep getting chills.

It's supposed to simulate what you see during a stroke if I remember correctly. Everything looks familiar but you can't recognize any of it.

When the environment works to fear you.
You hear things but there's nothing there.
You swear you see something in the corner of your screen move but nothing did.
You leave a section for a while, come back and something is slightly off, like the desk is on the other side of the room or the paintings have changed.
It builds tension but without the overdramatic use of wind up music or monster noises.
Also, another aspect is the manipulation of "safety"
There was some VR game where you play as a blind person but you can "echo locate" the things around you by tapping your cane. The caveat is that there's some monster or ghost thing that can track you by sound.
You make the player feel unsettled playing the game not through shock but through tension. It's a big reason why P.T. was so popular, you knew something scary was down the hall, and it made you not want to go down it. Then you notice things slowly subtly changing and creeping you out.

are you sure
it's just that looks like the garbage output of a machine learning algorithm with a training set that's too small that someone saved because it freaks people out

No
It's just what said

YOU GUYS

I JUST HEAD ABOUT THE BACKROOMS

GUYS YOU GUYS

THERES A THREAD ON REDDIT RIGHT NOW

GUYS

ABOUT THIS THING

GUYS

ABOUT THE BACKROOMS

GUYS YOU GUYS

ITS SUPER. DUPER. FUCKING. SCARY

I'm still looking for one like this where you have to follow a bunch completely nonsensical and ridiculously intricate instructions, each one with a horrible consequence for failure, like reciting 1239 prime numbers in rapid succession or you'll turn into an owl forever. Also the final reward for completing the whole thing was gaining the ability to teleport into any coffin in the world.

that sounds stupid

At least half of them could pass as touhou fan art

Does anyone else miss the days of quality creepypasta? This shit is basically the product of faggots who have the same mentality as fortnite players

Those days never existed.

fucking youtube cringe

I'm remembering a creepypasta that really fucked me up back in the days before /x/ was completely shit. It was about a couple driving down a desolate highway and reaching a gas station, where the man gets out and checks it out since it seems abandoned, then he sees something weird horrific that starts the spiral into madness. They get back in the car but no matter how far they drive, it's just the same gas station over and over, until they reach a cabin or something, and the horrors just keep getting worse with each night and his girlfriend retreats into an animalistic state.

lolokfag

I'm pretty sure it was a satire.

That's because there's much less topic specific shitposting, no recurrent annoying fags and less concerned tranny jannies outside the specific board. Imagine Yea Forums without the butterfly or /pol/ without blacked/ethnic women threads.

Just finished Blame! awhile ago and i don't get how Cibo and Sanakan made a baby.

That sounds awesome

damn that would have been nice if it was better made than that

thats literally what hell is though

The Holders?

I vividly remember reading this one, I'd look into my folders but I'm sure I don't have it saved.
I'll look in the archives for it though.

This one sounds great, I hope someone here posts it.

I was once under the influence of a drug and started imagining the daily lives of the people living there.

Then I started imagining how my life would eventually reach their place and how it was all a pointless cycle in which I contributed nothing.

Other than that, nothing spooky really.

Literally would rape this if I saw it irl

woooooo i hate this

Oh well, that didn't take long

>tfw can't get it up unless spooked
It's always hard to explain

no no no

I love ones like these. My favorite is the one where you talk to the hobo and he takes you to where you get told the secrets of the universe and the one where you play that night time game where if you hear some spooky sounds you gotta surround yourself with a ring of salt and wait till dawn

no its fucking not

ive read about 50 different spooky stories that all share this same premise of following instructions yet look at all the zoomers replying to this as if its the most unique fucking thing theyve ever seen before. fuck zoomers and fuck fortnite

Come here my pet russian.
I got a treat for you.

What the fuck is so scary about these "backrooms"? Is it the isolation part? Because that's incorporated into almost every horror story.

good shit

Is that that villain guy from One Punch Man

For me it's games that gives me the same feeling as x18 in SHoC did the first time.
Game in itself isn't a "scary game". No cheap jumpscares or other jewish tricks. Just the fear of the unknown.

This. If I was there it might be a different story. I used to be a little creeped out when I had to close down a large retail store at night with maybe like 3 other employees around. But staring at picture like this isn't scary.

I never really understood how they couldnt get him out, I mean if he got in there how couldnt they get him out the same way

couldnt they have kept lifting him bit by bit while pouring like gravel down into the hole to keep him from falling back down

it might not have worked but its better than fucking dying

Would actually be amazing since you could set up a network of coffins around the world and teleport to them whenever but the downsides wouldnt be worth it

>user is hero and he's getting hunted
no wonder he's scared

they look like the kind of environments dreams tend to take place in, which causes you to anticipate the kind of things that happen in dreams like being hunted by a headless minotaur, getting raped by your doppelganger, your teeth falling out, random parts of the floor suddenly ceasing to exist and there being nothing but infinite sky below, the vague amalgamation of every relative you've only met once turning up every time you turn around to deliver increasingly disturbing life advice. shit like that

that face looks too much like the mask of the father to me to be scary

DO NOT OPEN THIS

Attached: WQbPcuU.gif (500x409, 473K)

Not really. If anything these Empty rooms remind me of moving around as a kid with my parents. Which was well grounded in reality. So if anything it's nostalgic.

Posts like yours don't help anyone, they just make you feel like a better person.

haha y-yeah

You could have used the word 'retard' and not had any faults in your post. But you made a conscious decision that you had to call be people autistic. And then doubled down on it when the alleged retard asked you to explain yourself -- which you didn't -- and acted like you won the 'argument.'

Embarrassing.

fuck you reminded me of something
so there is this french artsy channel "arte" on european television, and one day at night there was this weird movie about an alien disguised as a woman seducing men to come home with her where she would put them into a kind of trance to capture them and to send them up to her ship as food.
At some point she was trying to put a trance on some ugly midget guy, but he figured things out and got scared and ran off.
Suddenly this alien woman gets horribly self concious and runs off into the forest in the winter and almost naked.
At some point some guy picks her up, gives her his jacket and lets her live with him for a while until she gets better. She doesn't speak but starts to show interest, things build up and just as she is about to have sex with him, a part of her disguise rips and she runs off again, even more self concious than before.
Now in the forest again, there is a kind of worker offering to help her, she declines and finds shelter in some shack for the night.
That same construction worker found that shelter at night and started following her, tried to pin her down and tried to rip her clothes off wanting to rape her until he accidentally ripped part of her fake skin off revealing her pitch black hide underneath.
That guy gets a can of gas from his car, runs after her and drenches her in it until he lights her on fire, the movie ending with the alien burning alive

who knew that some random user talking about alien rape triggers this memory stuck in my brain

how do you feel about the extended version?

this one just looks like an edgy youmu

Look at the picture. There's no way you could backtrace that with minimal movement. It's easier going forward than backward without equipment.

Just pull. Even if you break some bones or something its better than dying

unironically this, backrooms are a product of mexican youtubers spreading /x/ memes

it occurs to me most kids these days haven't clipped past the edge of the stage to see unfinished/unconnected areas

>A young woman may enter the elevator
Is this the part where you have to remove your pants?

So what exactly is this? Is it from some movie or what?

Anyone else remember Dog World? Now THAT was a story

>Real life Furry GF

That "left-right-game" -thing seems to be a more interesting version of this creepypasta.

>have no context for this whatsoever
>majority of the replies bitch about mexicans, youtubers, and reddit
>no idea what they're talking about
>because of these angry posters, I seek out an explanation
>I am now aware of some literal who's pointless garbage
>I still don't care either way, but by loudly acknowledging this thing that they hate, they have spread awareness and thereby given this literal who some shred of influence
the memes, jack

its been a pretty big thing on /x/ recently

>his girlfriend retreats into an animalistic state.
Nice. Did they fuck?

You are pathetic.

Horror themed games (Darkstalkers, Left 4 Dead, Bloodborne etc) > Survival Horror games (Resident Evil, Haunting Grounds, Fatal Frame etc) > Horror games (FNAF, Doki Doki Literature Club etc).

Don't (You) me.

The fact that you can be ripped apart by monsters with no one believing you is pretty scary, and who knows if the people who do believe you are even allies?
A definite character to be there is a social worker that genuinely wants to help you despite your fear of "non existent" fishmen.
after convincing them to finally come to the area near a nest they get eaten
Afterwards things go downhill from there as the neighborhood starts to come apart, mysterious health hazards closing down stores, stray animals being viciously attacked, people moving away and worse people filling in the gaps.

>doki doki
>horror
well it is a horrible game

A game while nothing scary is happening gives you a sense of unease while simply walking through an area (Silent Hill 2 did this well with the fog).

ISS simulator with a venting air into space scenario.

The worst part is the archived threads were lost. Mall planet made Pressure look like babby shit.

Explain

I think firewatch is purely an overrated walking simulator, but they did a good job making the forest look unsettling without using some scary monster. Probably should've aimed for horror.

You know the one.

Spooky game idea Yea Forums came up with. You crash land on an abandoned planet sized mall and have to survive. SCP tier shit starts happening.

what do you think you're doing right now.

I truly wanted to like this but couldn't. Idea is fine though.
